Growing up, the backyards of my best friend and I were separated by an empty lot. We had a whole world in that empty lot where the wild things were allowed to just be, and I think back very fondly at that time. There’s a house there now and the backyard is landscaped but I think we need these places where the land can rest and we can rest within it. Anyway, this is just a big empty space that is sunken in geographically like a little valley with thick trees and brush on 3 sides so it feels isolated and peaceful. Nothing but a bench and a sweet rope swing someone rigged up. My toddler was so calm here, something very rare. We just sat around for an hour enjoying the sounds of the birds and the sunshine. Perfect spot for a picnic.
In all honesty this is not the greatest of parks. It is small and a bit unkempt. Dogs like it so be careful where you tread. Most dog owners pick up - but not all that's for sure.
It's a cool park as it's not overly crowded. It's nice to see it again.
Small but beautiful and peaceful.
Just a grassy pathway but no dogs allowed??
