I don’t usually write reviews, but my recent trip to Canadian Tire was such an experience that I feel like it belongs in a short story anthology.nnFirst off, customer service? Terrible. I went in looking for an air fryer, only to find the shelves almost completely bare. apparently, Canadian Tire believes people only need one or two air fryers in stock for the entire city. When I asked for help, I met Jack with the septic eye yes, that’s what the name tag said don’t ask me why. He rolled his eyes the good one, I think and told me to “just check online like everybody else.” Not exactly the guidance I was looking for.nnThinking the manager might save the day, I asked for them, but the manager was even worse. Instead of helping, they shrugged and said, “We’re not Amazon, pal.” Great leadership, truly inspiring.nnOn top of that, the whole store sounded like a kennel. Cats meowing, dogs barking it was like PetSmart decided to have a clearance event in aisle five. Try asking about cookware while a husky is howling behind you. Not fun.nnAnd then, out of nowhere, I noticed something unusual: every woman working there looked like they’d just walked out of a bodybuilder competition. Buff. Shredded. Like they could bench-press the very shelving units Jack refused to restock. I was both impressed and slightly intimidated while clutching my sad, airfryerless shopping cart.
Stopped by Auto Parts for sensor cleaner. Staff quickly directed me to Aisle 5, found what I needed, and checkout was smooth. Great service and solid selection. Prices may be a bit higher than some places, but overall a very good shopping experience.
Cant explain how welcomed I felt when I stepped foot in this location. Usually other CT's would have angry brownies running at me trying to make me over pay for a basic oil change. This location is a complete 180. Jack, the young man or woman, or gender fluid helped me select a good car battery that fit my 2006 Fiat. That vehicle that was with me for 7 years so far was my most precious passion. Without him I dont know what i would do. God Bless that man. God bless the managers who know how to get their employees rightn+repn+cp
Terrible experience with Canadian Tire Auto Service. I was told they would call me once my car was ready — no one ever did. I found out later my car had been left outside, completely unattended and left unlocked in the parking lot.nnWhen I approached my own vehicle, I discovered it open and decided to sit inside and call the service desk. Shockingly, one of the staff came outside yelling and screaming at me, accusing me of trying to take the car without paying — even though I never said anything like that and had full intention to pay.nnThe entire interaction was disrespectful and completely unprofessional. This is not how you treat customers. Leaving a car unlocked and then confronting the customer in that manner is unacceptable. I will not be returning.
The store in 441 Gibb St, Oshawa is a total failure when it comes to to customer service and good conduct with diverse race and cultural people. It’s full of racist managers.nnThis instance with me on Oct 24, 2024, I brought my car in for a regular oil change, also bought other stuffs. While checking out I asked the manager / supervisor Michael to double check and explain me the charges. He did and I came out of the store fine nothing bad. Friday morning I received a voice mail that they forgot to charge me for my oil change the main reason I visited CT for, so later I called back to know more and pay if there’s anything not paid. The automotive manager DON who answered my call was Rude, upon asking him that I asked Mike to double check everything before charging me , and he should’ve noticed if he didn’t charge me for the oil change and I remember he mentioned oil change in the check he did. But the manager DON responded that made Mike to forget scanning the invoice. Which didn’t make any sense since it should’ve reminded him on the contrary. He said “the mistake by the store doesn’t make you not responsible to pay” which I believe was disrespectful and humiliating since I called back and I have all the willingness to pay for the service I’ve taken. I am a long term regular customer of CT and he trying to imply I’m trying to take free stuff without paying is total nonsense. I Have to spend time and effort to go again to make the payments, this is unacceptable.nnI came to the store and informed the store manager Jordan who apologized with a straight face with 0 empathy and said he can’t speak for another person, then why the hell is he is manager for??? . I’ve no idea how these people are the leaders of a store which should have higher standards for themselves.nnALSO THEY FORGOT TO SCREW THE SPLASH GUARD UNDER THE HOOD WHICH FLEW WAY LATER AND THEY DECLINED TO FIX IT FOR ME, This place is a bummer never coming back, bunch of incompetent people working here.nnFinally instead of apologizing or offering something for the inconvenience they’ve cost to burn my gas again and come to the store, they in fact made me feel that I left without paying. Cheap mentality.nnThe store in Pickering south Whitby are way more professional. This store previously had an issue with a product they claimed is discontinued but very much active said by the Pickering store.
