Canadian Tire

As a retail store, I have good service here and generally been able to find what I was seeking. I did not have a good auto service experience here though. Brought the car in. They said they had to order a part and I had to come back another day. Brought the vehicle back in, and they said it turned out they needed a different version of the part. Third time they indicated they needed a different part altogether. On fourth visit got things resolved and it was just a cable that had come unplugged. They did give a small discount, but multiple visits for a simple problem was frustrating. It was an electrical problem, they have an electrical expert who would normally diagnose the original problem, but that person was not assigned the task.

I would give minus if i could. NEVER GO HERE! Worst experience with any store for anything, let alone just automotive. After taking around 6 hours to finish a job they said would be done in 2, they sent me on my way with a car that WOULD NOT DRIVE. I could not even drive it out of the parking lot, it barely accelerated at all. I go back in to the store only to find out all the mechanics are gone and they cant help me. They direct me to a hotel which I had to fight hard to get them to pay for. After a full day of fixing the next day, they did not offer to pay for my rental car and after a 20 minute argument at the counter, still made me pay for the labour that ended up making my car worse than when I brought it in! Lady at the counter was nice, manager was an absolute incompetent moron who told me he didn’t care if I ever came back. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE INTO THIS SHOP!! PLEASE!!

Walked around and stood at the ammo cabinet for about 15 minutes asking and waiting on staff to sell me some ammo they just kept saying someone would be right down finally me and another customer gave up and left... whatever every thing Canadian tire sells nowadays is usually cheap garbage... Another time I needed an oil change and figured what the hell I'm going there anyway (HUGE MISTAKE) liars said 20-25 minutes it took at least two hours!!! I Watched an entire kids movie in the play area Madagascar 2 it was half way through when I started watching it ended went through all the credits started again and I watched past the point I had started watching earlier UNREAL.. They then were very rude when I said the wait was unacceptable and I was told 25 minutes no apology no nothing. So then he charges me like $110 I was like YOU HAVE GOTTA BE KIDDING $110???? Absolutely refused to give me any kind of discount.. $110 2 hour oil change... NEVER AGAIN will I spend a dollar there!! F@#$ YOU CANADIAN TIRE! MIDAS CHARGES UNDER $35 AFTER TAX FOR THE SAME OIL CHANGE IN 20-25 MINUTES

I'd give their auto service a minus star if I could. Something goes wrong every single time I've gone there. At first I thought it was just bad luck but its just incompetence on their part. If you like waiting on the phone, waiting in line, waiting for your car well past when it should be done, just waiting in general, this is the place for you. Appointment at 10 am? In their world that means 12, if you're lucky! Rude service lady has the audacity to tell people its like that everywhere. It ain't! Luckily for me and my car I'm never going back again..

Asked for twenty bags of wood pellets and was told I had to get them myself way at the back of the store by the person at cash register. 57 years old and a injured knee. Campbellford and Trenton stores get them and load them no problem. Good thing I didn’t mention that or I might have been told to go there.
