My top go to for my pets. They always have their feed in stock. Senior staff are very helpful and educated.

Fish tanks are full of dead fish or sick fish that aren't for sale, the staff doesn't pay attention to you, you have to get their attention if you need help with anything, staff is overall friendly, staff gives wrong Fish, like I asked for Fish and specifically asked for certain colours/patterns, I showed them and still got different Fish than I asked for... This has happened on multiple occasions... Overall it's an alright store for your pet needs

Fish are well kept safe, beautiful fish and animals there, I boast a lot s fish there only a couple have died but most of them are still living

I used to shop at this store and the staff seemed really nice over the last 5-6 years. Over the last year I kept seeing these two ferrets in their in a small glass cage for sale. after a while I started getting sad because they`ve been there for over 9 months. I asked the OWNER why she doesn`t lower the price and sell them together since they`ve spent their entire life and childhood in the store, so they can get adopted out and hopefully stay together since. I think it will cause more damage to separate them now. Her response; ``IT WILL COST ME TOO MUCH MONEY`` I felt that was a very selfish answer and it`s not an answer coming from someone who has the animals best intention at heart. I will never buy anything from her store again. My advise to her is ; STOP BUYING ANIMALS FROM BREEDERS THAT YOU CAN`T SELL AND MAKING THEM LIVE OUT THE FIRST YEAR OF THEIR LIFE IN A SMALL GLASS CAGE WITH NO TOYS!!!! And instead of buying from breeders why don`t you just adopt out animals from the shelters that have no home and the shelters have no room left. Paulmacs is another company pretending to care about animals but they are only there to exploit them because it makes them lot`s of money! There is a new Holistic Pet Store in Port Hope that only has shelter animals for adoption and aren`t in cages all day. They are off of Toronto Rd. Much better choice. I have met the gentlemen who owns it and he has much more integrity towards animals than Paulmacs.
