Canadian Tire

Just came from shopping in this store. We were there just after 4pm. We expected to have plenty of time to shop as the store doesn’t close until 9 and we were here to check out the Black Friday Sales.nWe were told by one sales associate that they close at 5pm tonight due to a staff Christmas Party. A few minutes later the same staff member came up to us and told us again that they close in 20 minutes. At this point it was 4:35pm. Feeling rushed, we hustled it to the checkout line up without looking at everything we wanted to see. While waiting in line a young man who was also a staff associate came barging down the lineup yelling out “coming through”. I didn’t move aside fast enough so he said it even louder to me. As he was barreling his is way down the checkout isle he was knocking things off the shelves. I watched him make his way to the refunds/customer service counter to drop off his coat and grab a water bottle. That was the whole reason for his rudeness.nWhen it came to our turn in the line up the cashier called us over to her register. As we approached I saw that the customer before me still hadn’t removed her items from the counter so I paused and asked the cashier if she was ready for us as I thought perhaps I misheard her calling us over. She confirmed that she was ready for us but then decided to redirect us to another cashier. While we were checking out we then watched the same cashier call over the next people who were behind us and at the last minute she redirected them too to another cashier. Then she happily told our cashier “good, I got lucky and can close off now”.nHoliday party or not, the bad customer service and rushing people and yelling at us was NOT ok.nThere is never an excuse for treating people so poorly and being that it is the holiday season where many of us are trying to make our dollar stretch with gifts for others and trying to “shop local”, this behaviour of staff members was horrible.

Purchased a life time warranty pots. Explained my situation with the store manager Mark. He was very understanding and gave some options, he took the time to help and very knowledgeable with products in the store. Cashier that helped cash me out was very patient and kind even when the store was closing. The cashier did not rush me, so thank you very much! Staff are all so pleasant and helpful. Thank you!

Leaving a mixed review - I had a great experience with the two women who helped me at the auto service desk those two stars represent them, but after paying $1000 for my winter tires and service, I went to leave and had my bag purse checked by an employee at the exit. Not only did I just spend $1000, I have spent thousands in the past at various Canadian Tires. This experience was incredibly off putting, so much so that I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Just want to give a huge review for Markone of the Managers. Every time I go in to Canadian Tire I see him helping out customers with their questions, or helping with huge items. He is always in a good mood and smiling. It's staff like Mark, that brings me back to Canadian Tire. Friendly, Knowledgeable, Personable. 5 Stars for sure.

I rarely hand out accolades but the one shopping experience I had compelled me to write this note. I needed some help locating a few items. A young man named Ethan hopefully I’ve spelled it correctly went up and beyond to grab one of the items I was looking for from the back of the stock room, since the shelf was empty. Another fine gentleman my apologies for not getting his name did the same for another item I needed. Finally the young lady helming the cash was very polite and friendly. Wow….kudos to the staff
