Canadian Tire

I went to purchase a smart fire alarm, but it turns out they only have brands that require you hardwiring them for the smart variety, for a reasonable price at least. It had a battery but I am told that is just for backup when the power goes out and is not intended for primary use. I don't have the option to hardwire them in my apartment so I did not purchase the ones I looked at. But It seems this is common for most hardware stores, I went to a couple and it was the same scenario. Can't afford to buy a smart fire alarm for almost 200 dollars at the moment. All in all, it's not really the Canadian tires fault. You can purchase regular fire alarms here which I have done in the past.

Absolutely horrendous checkout experience. Canadian Tire had only 2 cashiers open out of 6 available registers, leaving customers stuck in a ridiculous lineup while most of the checkout lanes sat empty.nnThe worst part is that this kind of poor staffing is exactly why shopping in Canada can feel so frustrating compared to the United States. In many American stores, checkout is usually treated as a priority because customer time actually matters. Here, it felt like customers were expected to just accept slow service, understaffing, and poor management as normal.nnThe cashiers who were working were not the issue they were clearly doing their best. The problem is management. If a store has 6 registers, then having only 2 open during a busy period is unacceptable. Canadian Tire seriously needs to improve staffing, open more cashes, and stop wasting customers’ time.

I had a disappointing experience at this Canadian Tire location. I purchased a wagon that turned out to be defective.nnWhen I went in to resolve the issue, I was initially told I could only receive a replacement and then it was said they will make an exception and provide a store credit. However, under the Quebec’s Consumer Protection Act sections 37, 38, and 272, a product must be fit for its intended use and consumers are entitled to a proper remedy, including a refund in the case of a defect.nnWhen I tried to explain this, one of the manager was dismissive and even mocked me, saying “Elle pense qu’elle peut changer la loi” , which I found very unprofessional.nnAfter escalating the situation, I was eventually able to receive a refund. While I appreciate that the issue was resolved, the way it was handled especially by management was not acceptable. I hope this location improves how it treats customers and handles defective product situations.nnOther than that, I do enjoy shopping at this location, they have a nice selection.

Very disappointing experience. I am the owner of P-Pop Automobile Detailing Inc. and have already spent thousands of dollars on equipment for my business, including over $3,000 at this location. When I asked to return an item because I needed a larger model, I felt ignored and was not offered a reasonable solution. Customer service was disappointing. Unfortunately, for any future business needs, I will be shopping elsewhere.

One of the biggest Canadian Tires I have ever visited. It very clean and welcoming and the prices are much better compared to some competitors like Walmart. They sell anything from gardening gears, patios, to car pieces, hunting and fishing permits and guns and any type of furniture. It is an awesome place that I would absolutely reccomend.
