Owner is very nice and friendly. We got medium roast Costa Rican since we loved it when we got them from Costa Rica. But I am not sure why the beans are so hard, it cracked my grinder. If you are buying this and you use a hand grinder, be careful. We also bought the Tanzanian peaberry, but hasn’t tried it yet.

Definitely found coffee in Ottawa that I like better, or has the potential to be better, but the thing is I get the best, most consistent results with these beans, and right through the bag. Can't deny that, even if they tend to go darker with the roasts than I'd like in general. It's always a nice experience to pop in, too, as it's super quaint and simple in this tiny storefont. Worth checking out and seeing if it works for you.

Stopped in today after hearing about the place for a while, picked up a few varieties of beans. Really appreciated the informed, subjective answers to my questions. Have already ground up and brewed two different cups and can't wait to explore more of the range.

This business gives personal service.. it has a great selection of coffee to accommodate all tastes. Best prices in town. I was really impressed with the new young owner, who took so much time to ascertain that my selection was well suited to my preference. It is worth the time to visit this business.

Great New discovery!! If you’re a coffee addict like me, we’ll this is the place for you! Their huge coffee beans selection is simply to die for and prices are way cheaper than anywhere else in Ottawa... I tried the Eye Peeler and so far I am sold with them! Will defenately go back again and again to purchase all of them so I can taste all the wonderful coffee from Kafia : The place is not to get a fresh brewed cup but for people who want to bring home great beans to brew yourself. Little Store Big coffee! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff... It's my second visit and will keep coming back! Worth the drive across the city.
