Story

For the past 14 years, Nectar Fine Teas has been specializing in, and providing Ottawa tea-lovers, with an extensive selection of premium loose leaf teas and unique tea ware.

Nine years ago, we expanded our tea boutique to include a relaxing, tranquil space to sit & enjoy some tasty food while sipping on a nice well made cup of tea.

A highlight of our expanded space is our much loved Full Afternoon Tea Service, which increases in popularity every year. It is a set menu served in 3 courses starting with a refreshing fruit cup, which is tossed in a jasmine-lime tea syrup. This is followed by a soup sipper, after which we bring you your tea of choice from our premium loose leaf tea selection, quickly followed by the 3 tiered tea tray with all of the goodies: 4 pillowy soft tea sandwiches, 2 homemade crème-fraîche scones fresh from the oven with real clotted cream & jam, a Nectar-tea-infused truffle by local chocolatier, Degas Chocolates, and a tangy lemon curd tart. Some seasonal changes may be made.

Reservations are a must as everything is tossed, assembled & baked fresh just prior to your arrival to ensure the ultimate in freshness (not to mention yumminess)! Please call at least 24 hours in advance to make a reservation.

Please note: This is a set menu, so with the reservation please let us know if anyone is vegetarian, or if there are any allergies so that we may accommodate changes as best we can.

The price per person starts from $28.95

Afternoon Tea Sittings:
Tuesday to Friday: noon, 2 p.m. & 4p.m. (Or by arrangement)
Saturday: noon, 1p.m., 2 p.m. 3 p.m.
Sunday: 1 p.m. & 3 p.m.

During December we have 3 sittings daily at noon,2 p.m. And 4 p.m.

We welcome small groups for wedding/baby showers or retirement parties. A maximum of ten people is recommended.
