Café Cristal is one of ottawa's most authentic and traditional third-wave cafe's. I've been visiting for several years now and service has greatly improved. The food and drinks were always excellent and the atmosphere one of a kind.nnThey know how to make great sandwiches and desserts, as well as great coffee and various drinks. The decoration is what sets this café apart. As shown in the pictures they've obviously invested in the decor and the furniture to create a warm upscale atmosphere that ads to the experience of being there.
I cannot speak for the Cafe in general, but the high tea 100% is not worth 45$/person.nSavory, and deserts were served together, scones followed later.n4 quarter sandwiches each. 3 were different types of chicken salad.n1 sweet blueberry scone each, served with whipped cream, and blueberry jam.n1 slice of cake, kind if dry, but not bad.nEclairs are still frozen despite us having booked 48h in advance.nWe've done other teas at half this price, where we couldn't finish our food, and took some home. But at this location we are discussing where to go after as we are still hungry.nCheap china. Table top moves every time we touch it.nOnly good point in the service is friendly
Highly recommended. Owner and staff very friendly and kind. The food is so delicious and Halal. We ordered chicken italiano and morning glory with chicken pesto both are so yummy. We also ordered a new sweet item with cherries and cream, it was very delicious as well. The experience is great. I highly recommend it!
We had two coffee types, flight white and cortado. Both were nice except that the quantity is much than what is known worldwide.nnIt is perfect overall.
Cafe Cristal is so cute! The staff was very friendly and the service was excellent. The spinach &feta croissant, Nutella croissant, and cappuccino were delightful. I’m so glad typing in @coffee near me” resulted in this great find. Cheers!
