The landscape is always changing at Bullards Beach. Sometimes there will be mounds of driftwood 30 yards deep or like today only small pockets of it scattered around. The light house is a great spot to have your photo taken. There are days where storm surges bring sneaker waves and so you have to be very alert. After storm surges you can find fossils which is enjoyable.

This large park is close to Hwy 101, easy to find and far enough off the hwy so there is no road noise in the campground. It is located at the mouth of the Coquille River offering a good boat launch and ocean beaches. Trails for hiking, biking, and horse riding are well marked with distances and difficulty level. ¾ mile soft sand trail from campground to ocean beaches goes over a large sand dune. Paved bike trail beside the road to the beach is old and lumpy. Lots of busy park hosts keeping the park clean and well maintained. Tent sites have water and power, plus there are lots of full-service RV sites. A horse campground with corrals is located away from the main campground. There is an old lighthouse with ample parking nearby at the mouth of the river. Massive ocean beach with driftwood. Free, hot, clean showers and flush toilets. We drove to the beach and had no trouble parking the motorhome here. No playground but good Jr Ranger program. Tall brush between sites offer good privacy. Tall trees provide shade. Weather updates and local tides posted. This is a great park.

Very nice, beautiful! The beach is 1.25 miles from trailhead (located at one end of the park). We ended up driving to another beach and didn't take that trail to that beach. The camp hosts are great, friendly but not intrusive.

We had a fabulous time staying here in a yurt. Our yurt was spacious enough for two people and the heater was wonderful. The bathroom and shower houses were clean. The park has a great beach however it is a distance to walk it, which we didn't expect so we drove and spent our time walking on the beach
