Box Car Hill Campground

It was my family’s first time visiting box hill campground this Thanksgiving. We loved the proximity to the dunes and how large and level our campsites were. The camp host was friendly and helpful. I would recommend that guests write the washroom code down because that after our phone service does not have that information lol. We definitely look forward to visiting box Car Hill again. .

Overall I had a pretty good time. The campground was very quiet after 10pm and everyone was very respectful of not racing by our campsite. All of the full hook-up sites were taken when I made my reservation so I was stuck with a site with no sewer. The thing that frosts my @$$ is they are absolutely going to get you for another $10 when you leave, in order to dump your black tank. I spent $400 to camp for a week and they still wanted 10 more dollars. It doesn't matter if there are lots of empty sites you can dump at. It's going to cost you 10 more dollars; no exceptions.

Staff could be a Little friendlier other than that it is a great place to ride on the sand .I think that there should be more markings on the sand warning people of danger spots for less powerful buggy's so they don't go down those trails and get stuck it takes the fun out of playing on the sand Restrooms: Port a potties but cleaned often Dog-friendliness: There are often dogs out there must be on leashes in camp area but is dog friendly

I've only stopped in but the place always looks well kept and maintained. Tons of spots to camp in a beautiful area with dune access.Location: 5/5

Love camping here!! Could oil down the lot more often to keep dust down but great dunes access and great staff

Arrived at campground and was suppose to be full hookups. - no sewer hookup but we were allowed to dump at a vacant site for 10.00. Our reservation stated $5.00 for addl car. They made us pay $10.00 per day as they stated that was a mistake not their issue. There was also a charge to use their showers. With the prices being charged showers should not cost. Fortunately we have a motorhome so we didnt have to use them. Very poor customer service and they blamed everything on owners saying there was nothing they could do

Great camping area. Big spots for lots of people! Restrooms and showers could be cleaner but overall not too bad. We will be back!

This could be a nice park for atv campers. Are experience was lacking satisfaction. We were charged $60 for full hookup, and we had no sewer. When we pulled in there sign said $50 for full Hookup. We asked if they have a dump station and she said yes, that will be $10. We argued that we were billed for full hookup plus $10 according to there sign. Her reply was if you want the convenience of dumping here you will pay. Last time for us!!!!! And even this was portrayed rudly.

Don't know much about this place we weren't able to get a spot here. I can say the lady working at the check in booth was very helpful and suggested other places.
