Blackwell Forest Preserve

The kids love riding their bikes around the lake path. Other park-goers are very friendly. Lots to do here, well maintained, plenty of parking.

Beautiful forest preserve with trails,archery area, many shelters and benches for picnic. They have pretty good size lake were u can rent kayak and boat from memorial day to labor day. September renting for kayak is only on weekends. One can bring there own kayak n boat to ride. Fishing in lake is allowed. For winter there is snow slide ..which look pretty long . Camp grounds are available.

Nice place. I've been there for a picnic, hike, practicing archery, with my canoe and my small sailboats . Great place to learn to sail...especially if you can benefit from practicing turning around (gybing or tacking) and sailing in swirly winds. Don't bring a boat with much draft because the shallow parts will snag your daggerboard. The concrete launching ramp means rigging on a soft beach isn't going to happen.

A beautiful forest preserve. Well maintained with excellent facilities. We used one of the shelters for a family gathering. There were plenty of parking spaces, working flush toilet facilities nearby, and beautiful views of the lake.

It was difficult to navigate since it was one way in and out, the birthday I was attending was in the last picnic lot, took nearly 15 minutes to drive to it, but once there it was scenic, and they had event facilities for a forest preserve.
