Berwick Retirement Village

Applied online july 9th. Set interview for following week. Hired same day and an offer of pay was made. I went through the hiring process of filling out all the necessary paper work in HR, did ALL the outpatient employee health checks including drug testing, eye exam and N95 fit test. I was also told by outpatient services they didn't have a MD to perform a physical or eye test n was referred to use my own personal doctors of which i had to PAY for those exams. My cost of physical was $165.00 through my private health insurance while the eye was another $100.00. In your entire hospital you don't have one doctor to perform these employee health checks? i jumped through all the nesessary hoops n completed what was required of me and than told by out patient services that i was cleared for working and that someone would call me with a start date by the end of that week. Its now going on 3 weeks n I have made several calls about a start date. In the meantime i have turned down several other work opportunities due to my recent hire. It's now august 20th 2017. I have made SEVERAL attempts to contact BRV2 nursing department and left several call messages asking when i am to start work and have received NOT ONE RETURN CALL. I'm now forced to seek employment elsewhere. I'd give them less than one star but unfortunately this starts at 1 star.

Rude nurses and incompetent staff. Directly caused the death of two close relatives who were sent there for rehabilitation after a hip replacement.
