I am a big believer in supporting local business. That is why I had been a regular customer of Beaverbrook Service centre for the past 5 years, even though we have had minor problems with the service that require repeat trips back to the shop to rectify. These included things like an oil filter not tightened and leaking all over my garage, exhaust system not mounted correctly after repair. I've also noticed a general lack of attention to detail such as letting the car leave the shop without checking that all lights and lamps are functional, not lubricating all latches and hinges with oil changes, and improper tire inflation pressure with winter tire changes. Despite these annoyances with the lack of attention to detail and quality of workmanship we kept coming back as the staff I had been dealing with (Frank) was friendly and I liked the idea of supporting the local business. After my most recent (and final) experience with Beaverbrook Service Centre (in which I dealt with the owner) I can no longer recommended this service centre to anyone for even simple jobs. It became clear to me that not only is this shop is lacking in quality of workmanship, but also lacking in perhaps the most important aspect of a quality service centre: customer care. We had a repair done that required us to bring the car back FOUR (4) times for them to get everything right. The fourth time I came in I was rightfully annoyed and tried to communicate this to someone. Frank was away on vacation and the " owner "(he never even gave me his name other than tell me he was the owner) was at the reception. Before I could even fully explain the history of the job he cut me off was defensive, rude and was totally unapologetic. He even tactlessly suggested that I bring my business to someone else. My recommendation is to take the owner's advice and save yourself a lot of aggravation and take your business elsewhere.
