Beamsville Fish And Chips

We have been loyal Beamsville Fish and Chips clients for roughly 3 years.... EVERY... SUNDAY... NIGHT!!! unless they are closed. Always order a 3 piece Haddock and Fries this is the 3 pc we received last Sunday. We have always throughly enjoyed our meals there and would always recommend them. The past few weeks the fish has been horrible compared to what we have come to expect. Chips are always on point so cannot complain about them, but the fish portions have been 1/2 the size that we usually get and it is dry. You will notice that it is on a baking sheet as we have always heated them up after the kids have gone to bed and have never had a problem. We contacted them through messenger, and we did receive an instant response and it started out very positive as we were really only wanting them to know that their product was not meeting their normal standards. She asked us for the order and how we had paid so she could fix it the next day. I gave her the information and let her know that I had also added a tip as we always do for the kids working there. Her final question was what temperature did you heat it at? I told her that this was right out of the box and that we were not looking for a refund just to let them know incase they had changed recipes, suppliers, cooks, etc..... NO RESPONSE after that. Yes the food was disappointing for the last few weeks..... but customer service is more disappointing at this point. Now on the hunt for a new fish and chip joint. Edit: After the response to this review : yes it was 11:18pm SUNDAY NIGHT... it is now Thursday night at 9:21pm and only heard something back because I did a google review 1 hour ago ... a simple message back to that interaction " thank you for your feed back and we will make sure to check into this" Maybe, "we appreciate your feedback... Feedback only makes us better."... I don't know something would have been nice.... after my last comment on messenger? Radio silence! I was trying to be nice in my interaction with you as messages constructive criticism are always received that way better. Also, that was the reason to message you privately. I truly do not complain about much... so I was trying to let you know nicely. But apparently as i have seen on previous reviews you only seem to respond to negative reviews....It's a shame... I can post the whole message, you have seemed to cherry pick the message. "May I find out the order and how you paid so I can track this order down and get this fixed tomorrow". AGAIN, A simply response to our initial correspondence would have sufficed and I would have left it at that.

Great place for some takeout fish. Huge portions. This is my leftovers from a 3 piece Haddock and chips. Yummy. Lunch tomorrow!Food: 5/5

We tried this place for the first time last night and we are so impressed!!! Everything was fantastic. From customer service, to portions, to taste. The lady that helped us was friendly, kind and attentive. The portions were massive!!! Finally, the taste of the food was amazing, fries cooked prefectly, and not salty, the fish was GREAT! The price you pay for the portions you receive is spot on and completely worth it! Highly recommend this location. We will absolutely be back!

Excellent fish and chip restaurant. Seems most folks pick up though there is a dine is area as well. Extremely busy on Friday evenings.. Orders can take up to 45 minutes to prepare. Lots of free parking. Staff is very friendly.Food: 5/5

Our family has been using Beamsville for years. We order often. Sometimes directly from them, sometimes on skip. Tonight we ordered skip and had an awful experience with the girl who answered the phone.she wouldn't give her name We placed a 6 piece haddock order with large fries, and when our food same it was just fish, literally just fish. We called and they said they forgot to give it to the driver. They literally admit it was their fault. The girl says they can't get our fries to us and there is nothing she can do. She told us they don't do credits or anything. And skip said that it's the restaurants problem We asked for a contact for the manager and we were told "She's in tomorrow but you can't contact her " This has been a total awful experience.

My friend and I decided to go back to this restaurant again it’s been a while and the food wasn’t really that good, so today we decided to go and it was the best meal of fish and chips ever!! The batter on the fish was light not greasy, the chips were nice and crispy like we asked for. Even the coleslaw was good! The cook that created this fantastic meal at Beamsville fish and chips in Welland is Marissa she is the nicest friendliest woman! I can’t tell you who the manager was I didn’t get his name but he was very nice too. Overall I would give it a 10****

I bought a single order of fish and chips and the wait time was not 15 min. like I was told but more 25 min. They were kind and brought it out to the car. Very nice. Got home and the fish and chips were a good size, bonus. However there was no coleslaw, no tarter sauce and no ketchup. Bummer as the tartar sauce makes the meal taste better. Disappointed!! I will go back for a 2nd try though.

Been ordering there for the last five years. Never again!!! Only received half my order to start. They would not replace the whole order so our family could eat at the same time. So i had to wait another 20 minutes for mine and apparently i got the child size. And when i called back i had to listen to some 16 year old who wouldn’t let me get a word in edge wise. Apparently there was no management on site. Never ordering there again

Overcooked fish and burnt onion rings. How you can pack and serve those garbage food? Got half refund from skip for the whole inedible order. Never again! I dont think they even care based on reviews here.
