My family has ordered from this place many times before. 80% of the time the food has been great. The last two times we had problems with their fried rice; it was crispy, literal black specks of whatever was burnt in their wok. We didn't complain that time as the rest of the meal was fine. The next time we ordered, all of the rice and noodles tasted like it was drowned in salt, not to mention that their soup was just soggy rice; hence no soup at all. perhaps next time separate the broth and rice? 1/4 of their fried shrimp tasted like it was heated multiple times due to the fact the shrimp was hard and inedible. My wife called to let them know that the whole order was a disaster and the man who owns the restaurant reasons behind it was they were busy that night but to come in any time and they'd make a fresh batch. Well that time came and my wife dealt with a woman who straight up told her that if she didn't want it salty then to not ask for salt. That was not the issue when everything prepared was salty that drinking water doesn't help. The woman also told my wife that there must be something wrong with her taste buds and that over the past 20 years there has never been a complaint. Are you kidding? The audacity to argue when you have less than 5 stars? Now tell me you haven't had any complaints. Don't talk to customers in a degrading way and expect not to get a review like this. Horrible service; just apologize and move on, what's the point in arguing with someone who's ordered plenty of times from your restaurant? Don't waste your time here. Go to Mandarin if you want fresh and quality food and better service.
Best take out I've had in Welland. The wonton soup is amazing, chicken balls are classic, the beef Shanghai noodles are amazing. 10/10, would recommend. Fantastic spot with great people.
Order through skip the dishes. Chicken was so dry couldn’t bite through it. They forgot part of my order, meat was COVERED in black pepper. Only good thing was the fried rice and fortune cookies
The food is by far the best I've had in the area so far. I would love to see this place renovated, it's a bit outdated and gloomy in there. I couldn't enjoy the great food dining in, always take out for me. The fishtank in the front needed to be drained out and new water added, it's th first thing you see as you walk in, and is a total turn off! Again, like I said - the food is always delish. I would love to see them offer catering trays!
Their food and service is nothing short of amazing! the Kimono fried rice is my recommendation. It’s always freshly served, hot and the mixture of savoury flows will give your taste buds an orgasm!!
We ordered through Skip and I'm glad we did! Our food was fresh,hot and delicious . Best beef and broccoli ever
The food wasn't bad. I was a bit suprised by the price. It's advertised as $12.99 a person, but two of us only drank water were charged over $40. Not sure how that's possible.
Right from the minute you walk in, the staff here are very polite. The food is hot and very well cooked as well. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Used to order from here monthly practically but they sent me an egg roll that tasted of rot and it didnt stay in me more than half a second be fore warned of this place its went very downhill in quality. UPDATE twice now ive been given rotten food no longer going to order here tired of throwing up after eating, im trying to fill my stomach not empty it further.
