Barview Jetty Park

If you want to camp on the Oregon Coast, here's your spot. We tent camp so we really like the fact that trailers and RVs are kept a long ways away from us. Amenities include nice clean restrooms and cheap showers, plus short easy trails down to the beach. It's a little spendy, but well worth it.

Bathrooms and showers are well maintained and cleaned daily. Campsites are mostly wooded to protect you from the wind. Its mainly open but there are a few private sites. They have a few cabins now and a big playground. beach access so that's a plus too. Good family friendly place

Pretty decent campground overall. I like that you can make reservations online. The staff checking us in was friendly. We stayed in Tent site #1 (w/ electric). I would not recommend this particular spot. The trees were sparse and it was almost impossible to put up (and take down) our tent due to the WIND. Not sure if it is that windy in all spots or not but it was very difficult Ground is sand and stakes kept coming up. Also nice and close to restrooms but the lights were bright even in the tent. Was pretty loud with people coming and going all night and early morning.

Clean bathrooms and campsites. We went during the 4th of July holiday and even though it was packed full, it wasn't noisy. The only thing that could be done better is controlling the speed of people coming and going from their campsites to HWY 101. It's a large campground so people far from the exit have a bit of a drive to get in and out. That said, we'll return, and recommend Barview for both a quick trip to the beach from PDX Metro, or a long vacation as a great base for exploring the north central Oregon Coast.

Great place for camping. They got a sand hill that is a lot of fun if can make it to top. Easy access to beach, secluded camping spot with brush and trees for privacy if get right place. Craving and claiming is must try with plenty of places that even a novice could have luck at.
