Our sites were great, there is a nice selection of spots with plenty of shade, privacy, and a couple with plenty of sun at mid-day too.  The restroom at the K sites check-in location was nice and clean.

The fire pits are pretty nice however it would be great if the grates on top of the fire pit had bars that were either closer together and/or in a cross-pattern so that food could be cooked easier on top of a fire.  Some of the sites hear US-26 more than others, if you are closer down to the stream then you'll probably have a better chance at hearing water at night as opposed to trucks on the highway.

Access to the stream itself is not fantastic, you have to go up and down some pretty narrow and steep dirt paths in order to get down to the water.  The trails are well marked and easy to traverse.

Access to Portland and Tillamook are not bad at all, I think it was about a 20 mile drive to get into Tillamook to get some shopping done. 

The cost for a walk-up site is $10 and $5 for an additional car per night so realistically it is a pretty inexpensive weekend for some beautiful scenery and peace and quiet.
