Western Royal Inn

We have been happy the other times staying here but this time we were told a price when we made reservations and the price was double when we showed up!!! We called 3 times making sure the price was correct in which we were told yes until the day of arrival. Also the fact that breakfast isn't available until 6:30 doesn't fit most people's schedule who come to this town for work. Our jobs start at 6 so that is not beneficial to workers.

Rooms are clean and inexpensive. Staff is friendly. There is air conditioning, a microwave and fridge in room. It's nothing fancy, but good for travelers on a budget who just need a clean place to sleep. I didn't see wheelchair access (stairs!). Parking area has only one entrance. Within a short drive of food (dining or groceries).

Perfect place for a one night stay when you want to be wake up close to the coast, without paying coast prices. Right on 101, so you can go anywhere! Room was quaint, has what you need, bed, TV, fridge, microwave, bathroom and we had a big walkin shower. Carpet stains were kind of a turn off, but not deal breaker. Pretty standard hotel room for the night!

The room wasn't the cleanest, there was only one very thin pathetic pillow per person. The " bath" towels we're the size of 2 hand towels. The carpet had the biggest disgusting stains all over. It is non smoking, but we had people outside our door at around 10:00 pm smoking drinking, and talking g really loud. The information book said to pick up the phone and dial zero to reach the hotel personal for anything. They have no phones. No matter how high we had the heater, it was still cold because there are holes all around the door, and it was around 30° so we were cold. Then it said to conserve water, put the sign on the bed and they wouldn't change the sheets. No problem, we were only staying 2 nights. I guess that also meant not to make the beds or clean the room. They took the garbage, but it wasn't very full. Didn't give clean towels or replace soaps, shampoos or the coffee. I rated them a 2 out of 5, but I guess I was feeling generous. Not going to recommend to anyone.

I stayed in there only luxury suite. About 150 a day I'm sure you can talk them down, but it is worth it. Nice Jacuzzi tub and a shower. Large screen tv 55". Chase lounge in front of the tv, a desk, frig, microwave, queen bed. Very large Roomy very nice vintage looking dressers and desk and very Comfortable. Yes you are above the office But you do have a private Deck ,It's almost like coming Home. Its not the best but I do like it .A lot of fisherman and hunters stay here. If want to catch up on elk, salmon, steelhead this is the place to be. My first night there were guys and gals boiling crab in the parking lot. Love it! I stayed here in November.
