This place is my favorite Bao place in Burnaby, seems to be the only place that sell red bean version ( that I am aware of). Customer service is also very good, I placed an order by phone to reserve a few for myself, as this place sells them out quickly. When I got there the guy knew it was me that placed the order over the phone and he had put away a few on reserve for me. To me it would appear that the staff is very friendly and helpful.

If you've a hankering for that old style Chinese bao, this is a great place to go. They sell in packs of 6, do you can take sting home and steam them at your leisure.

First off, this place sells a very wide variety of steamed buns and other baked goods. The food items are fresh and tasty! The convenient location makes it a great snack for me on the way home from work. My only critique is that the steamed buns are a little bit inconsistent in the amount of filling.

There's a reason the reviews aren't fabulous at Bao Bakery. Weird interior with limited seating, no HK style tea!!! staff don't even know what it is when you ask.... I mean come on. Service pretty average at best and the most important part the steam buns. Eh they're average at best. Don't waste your time. Unfortunately disappointed

I have tried this recently opened bakery for a while now. Here is my feedback, the steamed buns are okay, but not as good as the one from New Town bakery. Other baked goods available are tasty and bigger in sizes compared to the other available sources. This has to explain the price difference which is a little more in this bakery. I like their fried sesame ball, that one is for the books. The frozen steamed buns are always on sale and tried all of them at home. Not as good as the fresh ones from the bakery though, but will do fine to feed our cravings for Asian snack at home. The service is always good from my experience and I appreciate the friendliness of the mostly young staff. This bakery is a welcome alternative to the ever present pizza place around the Joyce Skytrain station. The eating place is modern which is quite unusual for an Asian-based bakeshop. Truly uniquely pleasant experience for me. Try this place for a quick bite on your way home commute to the suburbs. My son usually asks for me to bring home his favorite-hot dog baked bun. He could finish a half dozen of this in one seating...Thanks for opening this bakery. It gives me an excuse to drop by Joyce Station when taking the sky train.
