I’ve heard many great things about this bakery and finally managed to visit. Upon entering, I was surprised to see how many consumer goods they sell - it’s a mix of their own products, local venders and specialty items. I came around Sunday noon and the place was pretty packed, but the line-up moved relatively quickly.nnWe dropped by for a quick snack - we ordered the raspberry cheesecake danish and the cheese tomato galette. Honestly, they were both great. The danish was flakey and buttery as it should be, yet the cheesecake part wasn’t overwhelmingly heavy or sweet. It had a mild creamy taste, where most danishes I have typically use custard. The fresh raspberries made it a bit more refreshing as well. It’s definitely a light treat for someone who doesn’t pastries that are indulgent, rich and too sweet, similar to myself. As for the galette, the dough was much simpler and the tomato was the game changer. Without it, it’s an average cheese bun lack of a better word, however the slice of tomato that was baked in it made it similar to a grilled cheese with tomato soup in bun form - a great combo.nnOverall, I had a great experience here and would definitely come back to try their brunch and coffee. I can definitely see why this place is a hit.
The atmosphere is giving french cafe. Got the recommendation from a friend and it did not disappoint. Got their pan au chocolat and blueberry lemon tart. The croissant was flakey, buttery, and had the right amount of sweetness.
Absolutely stellar every single time. Welcoming people & space, delicious food, especially the daily quiche and pretty much any of their baked goods. Coffee is o-k. Small space, so either cosy up & share a table with friendly strangers, or grab a takeaway, but don’t miss it!
Presentation was good but pastries were a little “breadier” than we’d hoped. We ordered Okanagan peach jam, granola, lime puff, kouignamann, and a blueberry dark chocolate scone.
Amazingly delicious! So busy eating I forgot to take photos. We had the lemon blueberry tart and the raspberry danish. Both were amazing and true to french style baking. The pastry was buttery and flaky and the tart filling was smooth and fresh. The bakery is also very cute with many traditional and hand made style jams and kitchen goods to purchase. Note that seating is a bit limited but highly recommend coming here!
