Great furniture and we'll manufactured. Sales associates were very friendly and helpful and did not hover over me while I was browsing, which ultimately led to a several thousand dollar sale for them as they let me be and not pressured.

I ordered $5,000 worth of furniture, one of them being a floor model bed which was checked prior to ordering but it arrived really damaged with a huge dent in the frame and peice if wood missing. The store manager was very rude when i called him he didnt even bother to look at the pictures i emailed him the reply he gave me was that " i have 15 things to do in 15 minutes i wont be able to look at it" he also never called the followIng day.

We went in to pay the re-stocking fee this morning and finalize the cancellation and were relieved to discover Ashley decided to do the right thing. We were able to cancel our order free and clear. I amend my review. I hope lessons can be learned from this experience on both sides, I know they have been learned by us. I'm hoping any further business we do with the Ashley Store will go a lot more smoothly. They really do have beautiful furniture and decent deals.......just not on this one product. Glad the couch and bed we love is not off the table. Way to go Ashley Homestore may we meet again in the near future. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!! We placed an order for a tv cabinet on august 5th. We were told to expect 2-4 weeks delivery. We found something unexpectedly for half the price that was more our taste and color preference with free shipping and comparable quality. We called Ashley to cancel our order today (August 11) less than a week later and were told we could not do so without paying a 20% restocking fee. This will include tax. Initially we were told we could only cancel in person with the sales person who initially showed us the item. She wasn't working today though but would be in various times in the future. We couldn't cancel with the manager of the store we had to speak to the sales associate in person at the store. mmmmhhhhh. Then we were told we couldn't cancel because voila our purchase would be arriving Monday it was already on a truck. The majority of deliveries of course take the 2-4 weeks to order, ship and arrive but not ours it was a miracle ours would be here Monday wouldn't you know it. If we were the majority we would have been able to cancel free and clear, but since they truly have no idea how long items will take to arrive apparently, we get screwed with a restocking fee. Also apparently FYI a small percentage of items (I'm guessing like 1%) arrive way less than the 2-4 weeks they tell you to expect. AND (fine print) they charge a storage fee if your not available to receive your delivery. So be prepared to be available. Anyhoo I digress. We had looked at a couple of other items we were seriously interested in and been back to measure a couple of times. They kept note of those in "our file". Then in an attempt to stop us from cancelling our order they then attempted to offer us an opportunity to spend more money lucky us via a minimal reduction in the price of the console and other items we liked (according to our file) , money off of the Ashley protection plan on the couch we liked and finally drum roll please an ashley store credit, . No thank you!!!! I could literally buy two of the preferred tv consoles and have them delivered for the same price of the ashley tv console we originally ordered. Ashley just couldn't beat the price so of course we were going to cancel our order. Clearly they are desperate for business. The empty parking lot and zero other patrons in the store on the occasions we visited to measure and review the other furniture we liked makes more sense now. Had they have been more consumer friendly in this situation the money we saved on the cheaper console could've gone towards the other more expensive Ashley items that we were more interested in at their store. That was our thought anyways but forget that. Its just poor customer service and shady business practise. And for gosh sakes tell people that their item could be there in a week so they can make arrangements to be there for delivery. In the end we are cancelling our purchase out of principle and because even with the restocking fee the tv cabinet we found is still a better deal, more our taste, comparable quality and FREE shipping with all the features we are looking for. We will pay the $300.00 restocking fee if we must but shame on you Ashley. Now we are looking for another furniture store to fill our newly purchased house.
