Argo's Family Restaurant

I've live in Medicine Hat for years and have never tried Argo's before. I probably won't be back either. The service was friendly, but slow. The atmosphere is bland and there's nothing that makes it stand apart. The food was mediocre at best. I had Eggs Benedict and I am certain the hollandaise was a powdered mix.

Great place to eat wether breakfast, lunch or supper. Good range of home style cooked meals and desserts. Great staff!

First time visiting. The Reuben sandwich was decent. The sweet potato fries are pretty good. The waitress was ok. It was decently clean. Enjoyed it. There was an Italian sandwich that also looked pretty good.

My boyfriend and I loved this place but today i was really disappointed. We were seated at the booth close to the kitchen therefore, i could see right in the kitchen. One worker had a hat on and a hair net on except the hair net did not cover any of his hair as it was all falling outside of the hairnet. I brushed that off because its not a huge deal, but then i saw him use his phone in the kitchen and then proceed to rub his hands all over clean dishes that my food was going to be put onto. I was starting to get fed up after the third time i saw him use his phone and then another one of the staff in the kitchen pulled out their phone too. I dont think it is acceptable to have a phone in a kitchen because it is where the most bacteria builds up.. Then once i got my food, i ordered poutine and chicken strips & the strips were burnt and the fries were hard as a rock. Then my boyfriend found a hair in his clubhouse sandwich so we got up and left and now i dont think i will go back.
