Americas Best Value Inn La Crosse

First and last time I'll ever stay here. So much road construction and orange & white striped barrels we could hardly find this place. Their entrance is not lit up at night, and finally found that we could get to the entrance through the gas station parking lot. Then the room keys weren't working and it took forever to find us a room where the key would work. Once we got into our room in this very old building, the smell was horrible. While road construction wasn't their fault, it didn't help that their entrance was completely dark.

The room was smelly and dirty and the key slot didn't work, the lady at the front desk said "Good luck" when she handed us the keys, we had to buy fabreez to make the room less stinky, last time I will stay in this hotel... I'd give it a .5 star rating if that was possible

The owner of the Inn was very lovely, she seems like she takes a lot of pride in her work.

Good for the price, breakfast selections were almost all empty, staff was friendly

The room is nice and has a good amount of space. The beds are comfortable and the air-conditioning is good. The shower head is a bit odd, but overall it's pretty nice.
