Great free, 50 metre long pool West of Kensington market. Cold water, not usually crowded and great for swimming laps. Ample sunbathing room and a few chairs. Shower gel is often low, probably to discourage just anyone from using the showers. Well maintained and clean.
The pool is okay but the surroundings are not so good. I was not so comfortable there. It lacks cleanliness. You will also easily find leaves in the water. At least I could enjoy the big pool. I did swim for 45 minutes which is sufficient for me. It surprises me that the pool is not deep. Just around 1,70cm of height at the deepest level.
Cold but nice. Not crowded but was a Tuesday afternoon
Apart from the occasional hairballs, the water is clean and a bit cold, causing few people to be in the water. There has been a marked improvement in service in 2016 vs 2015 with lifeguards being very nice and reasonable. Shower gel is empty more often than not, perhaps to keep away people who only come to shower.
Went to the pool this afternoon and had a great swim .. Pool is large enough so you don't feel crowded .. Lockers available but bring a lock .. Have fun!
This is a nice pool but there is a creepy guy who regularly attends and goes out and drinks beer and whiskey and comes back in. He is gawking at people when he is outside the pool. He is trying to intimidate people trying to enjoy a day in the sun by staring. He has a red backpack and a brush cut with short beard growth. Looks Portuguese or Latino. He should be told he cannot consume alcohol and then re-into the pool. Another consideration would be to put up a privacy fence as I was close to the fence today and the guy was right behind me and then when I look at him and he nods. Looks like a real creep to me and I’m a guy. Once again the security guard at the front entrance of the pool should tell him you cannot enter the pool under the influence of alcohol because he’s drinking openly outside the pool and then gawking at people
I work with a client who is Autistic and I bring her to the pool. I take pictures of her so she can see, and some lifeguards dont mind. One lifeguard spoke down to me like a child; male and Asian, saying he told me before not to take pictures. I have never seen him before and other lifeguards let me record my client. I get the life guards are doing their "job" but so am I because my client needs to see herself in the pool. Some of the lifeguards here are super kind and sweet and understand that my client needs to see herself or has a breaksown, then the odd few who are very arrogant and act like they are some manager. I have to do my best to make sure my client doesnt disrupt the rest of the community. I dont take pictures of anyone else, i couldnt care less, i am here to do my job as well. Thank you to the respectful lifeguards who are understanding of my situation.
I was surprised by how dirty the pool was, especially after reading other reviews about how clean it is! It didn’t help that I was wearing goggles…I understand that it’s an outdoor pool and leaves etc. are normal, but I also saw several large clumps of hair floating around and even a cloth glasses case at the bottom of the pool. It seemed like maybe it had rained and all the debris from the floor and change rooms?! had been swept in, and the pool hadn’t been cleaned before guests arrived. The shallow end was cleaner, the pool was a nice temperature and it wasn’t overly chlorinated. While I appreciate the non-gender change room concept, this facility doesn’t seem to have the infrastructure for it…The only stalls are toilet stalls, which I normally don’t mind, but the one I went into was disgusting, so I took my chances changing in the open. All that being said, I am still giving my review four stars, because the size and length of the pool is amazing and the staff were polite.
Excellent outdoor pool in the city
Are we lucky to have a pool like this! Fifty meters long!! No driving allowed... Can touch bottom everywhere... Coldest pool in Toronto! Perfect for laps Has a nice large deck space perfect for sunbathing and showing off your tattoos and latest gstring fashions! Bring a blanket.... Not too much shade from the sun on the deck
