DETAILED, HUMAN REVIEW ON MY PURCHASE: Wanted to write a review earlier but decided to wait a few months to see how the computer holds up. I ordered a $600 gaming PC from Best Buy's online store. After ordering it, I came to realize it was a third party purchase by AST. Opened their google page, read all the nightmare reviews, and was super worried. Considered cancelling the order, but figured I'd just see how it went. The PC that came featured a GTX 1060Ti graphics card, as mentioned in the ad. 16GB ram 32 was an option for $50 more, but they were sold out. They were a little ambiguous as to the rest of the specs, so I sort of expected the worst. The processor I got was intel i5 6th gen, which is super old, but can't really expect much better for the price range. My only gripe is that the motherboard is part of the HP workstation, which means that it's basically impossible to upgrade the processor. If I ever plan to upgrade parts, I'll basically have to swap out the entire motherboard, meaning I can only really keep the graphics card which is where most of the value is anyway and the two samsung 8GB RAM slots. It comes with a 512GB SSD, the brand is "Kingfast". Not the best nor the worst, you can do your own research. Naturally, they went with the cheaper components. I've had this computer for around 4 months, and so far it's actually been running pretty good. No major flaws have shown yet, everything is working as expected. The computer is, understandably, not super speedy, sometimes it can freeze up or take a long time to load things, but that's just because the processor is like 7 years old. I've been able to run practically any game at at least 50-60fps, and low-demand games like League of Legends at 140 minimum 80 on max settings. Although, again, because of the processor, sometimes the gameplay on graphically demanding games can be quite stuttery. The only real exception has been Tarkov, where I can barely get a steady 40fps, but Tarkov is super poorly optimized anyway. The deal I bought did come with a mouse and keyboard, but they were of pretty poor quality. The brand is basically unheard of. I swapped it all out for razer gear within a few days. The computer itself was in fine condition, no damage, but there is sort of a fading in the color on one side of the tower. Doesn't bother me much though. OVERALL: For $600 $550 before tax, I got probably around $500 worth of computer. If you're savvy, you could probably build yourself a computer of similar or better quality for the same price, but personally this has worked just fine for me and it runs well enough to do basically everything I need it to do. It took around 3 weeks to ship to BC, Canada, and this was in the middle of boxing week, so it definitely could have been worse. A lot of the reviews complain about customer service - I can't really speak on that because I havent had to deal with them much aside from asking them for updates about the shipping, and at the time they were very prompt with their responses. Maybe I'm just one of the lucky ones amidst all these bad reviews, but according to my experience, if you're looking for a starter PC to run some decent games and get some work done, AST has you covered.

I just received a refurbished Dell PC from these guys and it was a joke. The cover was cracked, not installed properly and the WLAN card was missing. Just wasted five hours I'll never get back. And now I have to drive to the post office to return the POS.

My understanding after consulting with a certified Apple technician is that this organization is selling fake 'refurbished' Apple laptops. These are not refurbished units, but are using taped-together non-Apple parts. Avoid at all costs.

Bought a laptop from them. Died after a week. They said to ship it back to them so I paid $35 to ship it back. They said it would take 3-5 weeks to repair. They sent it back after 1 week and now it just restarts every 10-30 minutes. I've been messaging them for months now and they basically tell me to fix it myself instead of just sending me something else. DO NOT BUY THESE PEOPLE ARE BLATANT SCAMMERS THEY REFUSE TO SEND ME MY MONEY BACK OR GIVE ME A NEW WORKING PRODUCT NO MATTER WHAT I DO.

This company is seemingly a band of exploiters. I ordered a HP EliteBook 840 G2 14 inch Business laptop but instead, received a 820 in October 2020. They offered me $20 and a hard drive as compensation plus asked that I return the item. Their return policy however stated, as an international customer, that I’m responsible for all shipping and customs cost to return the item.

First of all, this company has changed its name from Advanced Skyline Technology to Skytech Global Ltd. Just because its business account has been suspended from several months by different platforms last year, trying to avoid the continuing bad reputation from its customers. So remember!! It is a same company!!!And it has gone through a major change especially when its account being suspended by Amazon just because of non-stop complaints in regards to its quality. Its main revenue is solely from its PC sales, which has also gone through a terrible downward trend. Keeping laying off ppl to save money and saying thinking about IPO is a freaking joke. The whole laptop and LCD departments were shut down recently.So do not buy any of its product unless you are crazy!!This company is operating like a scam!!Amazon and Best Buy should suspend its account indefinitely to protect their consumers!

i purchased a computer form this company over amazon for work purposes at the end of december. I received that package on dec 30 and hooked everything up. the monitor wasn't working to i called their support line and the conclusion was that there was an issues and i need to send everything back. received an email after the phone call stating to sent back the shipment via ups and advise when i have dropped it off. the email stated that as soon as they get the information that the package has been returned they would send my replacement unit. my new computer and monitor was supposed to arrive on the 13th and arrived on the 14th with only the computer tower, keyboard and mouse. since my mother ordered this under her amazon account she had sent out an email at 4:30 asking where the rest of the purchase was and also tried to call and have not received an answer. This has been the worst experience ever. i have sent an email to this company again stating that i want my monitor by Monday or i would be requesting a refund. at this point im not sure i even want to keep this computer because it doesn't seem like they have working products. was my monitor not delivered because this company doesn't have anymore is is it missing because someone was too lazy to check what the hell I paid for. the last time i but anything from this company. i'm supposed to be starting a new job which is why i purchased this computer and i needed it last week, thanks to this company and their inability to do anything on time or right, I'm pretty sure it costed me the job opportunity. REFRAIN FROM PURCHASING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! you can read their response to some of the previous revives and one says "if you need us call us from 9am to 5:30 but you call and send them messages at 4-4:30 and no one does anything for you. i will be reporting this company to BBB if i do not hear anything back by monday. they have my money and half my product that i purchased is missing.

Horrible, computer had difficulty charging wouldn't hold a charge and was incredibly slow for having 32GB of RAM, could barely run Lightroom would hate to have a video on the line with that. Bought it through the refurbished section of a company I trust and glad I did they're sending this garbage back and replacing it with an in store model of higher quality. Stay away from Advanced Skyline Technology Ltd. Go to a shop you trust and spend a bit more, I was actually informed that even though they sell these they don't actually get to see them or vet them.

UPDATE: The company provided a full refund. That does not mean I would purchase from the company a second time. But, I am grateful for the refund. I would give this company zero stars if I could. The company is a scam! I bought a refurbished Dell laptop spring 2020 through Bestbuy. It was the first time purchasing a refurbished laptop, but came recommended by an IT friend. In less than eight months it was sent in to this company twice. The second time a rep at the company claimed they did not receive it. The missing laptop situation has been an absolute nightmare. Whether they received it or not, what's supposed to be a good quality laptop should not be required major repairments within eight months! Do not buy from this company!

Purchased a refurbished laptop from this seller for an elderly relative in a more remote community. The laptop worked for about a day. Unfortunately, we missed the 2 week period to return it, as the package was not opened promptly by the recipient. We have been in touch with the seller to provide additional information why the laptop is not working - to this day, no resolution. I have recently had a chance to personally see the laptop - it is in a very rough shape, and it should have never been sold like that. The power comes on and it sounds like it boots up, but there is no visual at all on the monitor. Also, it's not possible to connect a second monitor via HDMI cable because it won't plug into that port - look like there's rust in that slot. It's absolutely useless. Even for a refurbished laptop, it should have never been sold in such a rough shape. As it stands now, I'm out for $363, and doesn't look like I'll be getting this money back. I would never use this seller again, and I would not recommend them. Buyer beware.
