Great place for some Cantonese congee, noodles and more. They have more variety than a lot of the other congee franchises. Their deep fried fish skin were crispy and thin. Better than their competitors. I also like how they're quite generous with their cilantros and toppings for their congees. The pork liver was also very good on the rice roll. I would definitely return for more. Great service. Clean restaurant.
I got the Rice rolls with shrimp and chives and a a huge bowl of Congee with fish fillets. Both the items were delicious, other times on the menu look interesting as well, friendly staff!
Came on Sunday morning at 11am, place is small for the business they're getting. We were seated the table in front of the cashier. When waitress brought over water, she accidentally tipped the cup and spilled the hot water on my lap. No apologizes and just a loud sigh as if it was our fault. We ordered 6 dishes, and the cheung fun which they're supposedly known for was a disappointment. Super under-staffed and rude attitude, the entire dining was very poor. We felt rushed and just packed for take out. Bill came out to $54.xx, we put down $60. Waitress came to collect the money, and said it's not enough. We said there's $60. She said tip is not enough. To spare the drama, gave them another $2. Nothing special about the food at this place, and wouldn't come back due to rude customer service.
Great congee and pig intestines noodles! Price was very reasonable. Small busy place, this is one of those that you eat and run, not a place to hang out with friends and chat. Parking may be an issue during busy hours, very congested and tight.
Only giving this place 2 stars cause their food is decent, but the people at this place have extreme attitude and treat you like your business doesn’t matter, and their service is super slow, sat there for 34-40 mins waiting for the kitchen to slap out 2 bowls of congee while my dough sticks came out in the first 5 mins which was rock hard over cooked and cold like a frozen dinner before the congee even came. Would only recommend this place to people who can tolerate waiting longer then normal and accept rude staff and poor service
I tried the shrimp rice roll, scallop/pork/chive rice roll, and beef brisket rice noodle rolls. All of them were really good, fresh and good value. Their rice noodles have a good texture, and better than the popular Yin Ji Chang Fen. The beef brisket noodle rolls was a huge portion and the beef was perfectly good. Take out is fast and easy. I called to make my order and it was ready in ~10 minutes.
Absolutely love this place Come here to get a true taste of Hong Kong with insane value. Staff speaks English although not super well, but you'll get by and menu is in English as well for the most part. First thing you do upon entering is to grab a piece of paper from the front desk with a number to get in queue. No reservations, line goes quick as they have super fast turnover. This place specializes in congee rice porridge for the uninitiated and rice noodle rolls. Haven't tried anything else here because these 2 carb-rich dishes are the best. Have ordered some vegetables to balance the meal out which is pretty basic boiled Chinese broccoli Bowls of congee start at about $5 and is a steal in my opinion. You can share a bowl with someone easily. HIGHLY recommend the pork and preserved egg aka thousand year egg congee classic congee and the fish + beef congee. Simple & super flavourful! The rice noodle rolls are made completely in house drenched in sweet soy sauce. Add some sesame seed and hot pepper oil at your table, and you'll be shortly sent to carb heaven! Oh and don't forget the HK style tea! Have it cold or hot..it's all good.
Good quality rice rolls that were flavourful and had a good texture. We ordered the egg and beef ones. The prices are good and the portions are generous. I also tried the fried fritters, both styles were good. The soup noodle was average. I found the noodle a little too on the soft side for my liking. I found this place toddler friendly place. It isn't too crowded and is a casual setting. The food came out fast enough before my daughter lost her patience. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend visiting here for the rice rolls.
The place is small but it seemed clean. It was almost empty on a weekday. The congee, fried calamari, pig intestine noodle soup and the ‘cheung fan’ definitely worth to try. The congee is very tasty and pretty well done. The fried calamari was very tender. The pig intestines are tender and tasty; and the cheung fan is good except for the dried shrimp one, personally I found it horrible. The wontons in the noodle soup were mediocre, there are much better places that serves delicious wontons. Prices are reasonable and according to the quality and portions.
Really interesting and delicious rice rolls! Like many items on the menu made in-house. I had a great bowl of preserved-egg congee. The wonton was very good too. Finally, the price was very reasonable. Parking can be challenging.
