Saw this place on two “top wonton places in Toronto” articles so I decided to try it myself. With high expectations, I hoped it would meet it and yes it did. The wontons are as big as advertised. Plump and flavourful shrimps filled. Surprisingly, the soup dumplings were even larger and just as tasty. Our group had both and well as the beef brisket with wonton and noodles. Needless to say we were quite satisfied. Seats around 40, clean and parking in the front lot. Friendly quick service. Decor is classic oriental style. Lots of good luck greetings, lucky kitty and signs throughout. Prices are good. Would recommend for wonton/noodles craving. Only open from 9am till 6:30 pm everyday.
Great affordable hearty wonton noodles. Brings back the HK feels. Good chili oil for dine in and purchased take away too. Pieces are big and made in house. Service is good. Closed Tuesdays.
This noodle shop offer big wonton, homemade fish ball and beef slices as the big trio item on the simple menu. Quality is very good. Customer can choose the type of noodle to go with the order. There are also a few other appetizer size item available too. Fried fish skin is excellent. However, waitress are not motivated to provide service at all. They will come to take the order, and that would be all. Vegetarian options: Vegetable side dish available. Dietary restrictions: Secret family recipes, ingredients are kept secret. Beware of food allergies
We dropped by for a quick lunch, the best Won-Ton soup in town, exceedingly quick service, large won-ton with oversized shrimps, excellent chili hot sauce too.
Big Trio makes probably the best shrimp wonton noodle soup in all of GTA. It’s a very unassuming and hidden gem. I heard this location was also the first and original. With golf ball sized shrimp wontons, these noodle soups are just around $9/bowl. Talk about cheap eats but delicious! If you are in the east end and looking for a bowl of comfort, this is the place.
Hong Kong style noodle soup restaurant. Great place for a quick bite. Simple menu and tasty soup. The wontons and dumplings are huge and delicious. Service was friendly and fast.
Great price - bigger portion than Jim chai Kee for the 2 or 3 options. Quick service. Food 4/5 Price 4/5 I’d definitely be a regular here. It hit the spot. Delicious shrimp wontons and beef brisket.
The noodles here are pretty good: bouncy and not too much lye water. The cuttle fish balls are nice and the beef brisket it standard. I find their penny pork sauce to be a little strange but tasty. It is hotter than other places and has mushrooms in it. Overall it is a reasonably priced wonton noodle option in the east end. Only complaint is that they close early. So if you want to go for dinner, go early.
This place serves excellent authentic delicious large shrimp won tons. We usually order them in a noodle soup with beef tripe, very tasty. The noodles are cooked perfectly. Price is reasonable, with quick friendly service. Highly recommended
