Yang's Braised Chicken Rice

Great franchised restaurant specializing in boiling hot soup noodle and braised chicken rice. No beer or any alcohol to kill the heat but there are other drinks available. This location seems to be more generous with their portions but the flavours seem lighter. Still good. Unfortunately there is only one single stall unisex washroom, so sometimes you'll have to line up. Good service, nice ladies.

Food was not bad. However the preference to use QR code for menu and placing orders is really missing the human touch and lack of hospitality. When asking for the physical menu, waitress seems unwilling to do so.Food: 5/5

A friend of mine invited me to try this new restaurant. While they're new to Toronto, they have over 6,000 locations worldwide, originating in China. Their menu for main dishes is pretty simple - Braised Chicken regular or boneless. The simple menu lists Braised Ribs and Braised Beef Brisket, coming soon. These dishes come with a bowl of steamed rice and your choice of spice level. There are a variety of add-ons available for $1.99 each. They include bean curd, quail eggs, a variety of veggies, and even luncheon meat. The menu also lists a variety of cold dishes, such as Jelly Fish with Green Onion Sauce, Eggplant with Sesame Paste, Celery and Pig Ear in Garlic and Soy Sauce, and a few others. The Snack portion of the menu includes New Orleans Style Fried Chicken Wings, Taiwanese Style Sausages, Deep Fried Squid Balls, and more. The entire menu fits on one page, with nothing costing more than ten dollars as of this writing. My friend and I had the Yang's Braised Chicken Rice, the house specialty, Popcorn Chicken, and Eggplant with Sesame Sauce. The braised chicken was served sizzling, in a hot pot, with a bowl of rice. The generous serving had a home cooked look and taste. Not bad but not the restaurant quality that I expected. The popcorn chicken was good, very crispy and tasty. I'm not a fan of eggplant but I tried it and it was okay. My friend enjoyed it. This location was nicely decorated and the staff were friendly. If you're looking for a good simple meal at a good price, give this place a try.

I gave 4 star because of the awesome food and nice service.. then I changed my idea to 5 star because you stop the leaving guest to take back his phone. .

1. No bone chicken 2. Boneless chicken too dry and too salty 3. Gravy not as viscous as before 4. Burnt taste in gravy/soup 5. Rice is too dry 6. Only three tiny sweet pepper pieces 7. Curt attitude I’m wondering why I spent $15+ when even the chicken rice I make at home tastes so much better and only costs me $5… Well, the good thing is that now my craving for chicken rice at this restaurant has been put to rest forever!

Food is great! I love the boneless chicken. It’s too big for me to eat by myself, so I usually get that, with a few add-on toppings to share with someone else. They also have good popcorn chicken and fried tofu here too! All the appetizers I’ve tried were tasty with large portion. If you like spicy food, you should definitely try the spicy option for the braised chicken. The peppers are so fragrant and fresh. Mix it around too. The longer it sits in the sauce, the spicier and more delicious it gets, so don’t eat too quickly!

Meh. Inconsistent is the main word. Second time trying it and pretty disappointed. Tried the beef brisket and braised chicken and both lacked the infused flavor of the broth. For the price nowadays, you can find better meals in the area. Still cheap though

They have the braised chicken fried noodles now! Loved it!

Their menu does not offer too much as of yet but I understand since they did open recently. Otherwise, good customer service and good tasting food.

Phenomenal place to dine, me and my friends like to get the chicken bowl or beef bowl, my personal favourite is the beef brisket.
