This is what fresh ingredients, a passion for cooking and literally pouring everything you have into a small business looks like. The owner used to be chef at some well known Chinese / Asian restaurants. "Fusion" is the name of the game here. He takes traditional Thai, Vietnamese, Taiwanese and dishes from other regions while putting his own flair to it. That's the fun part of experimentation. While sometimes it isn't perfect, you can see they are continuously pursuing to do better with each dish. Give them a try!

Popped in unexpectedly for Dinner. Small quaint place that delivers a huge value for money. French bistro fusion with Asian flavors deliver a tastebud explosion. Great dessert, the chocolate mousse was to die for. 5 stars $80 for a dinner for 2 adults and 2 kids.

Came across this restaurant and tried it for the first time tonight. Wow what a hidden gem! Had 4 of the items from the menu - Szechuan Ramen, Tom Yum Ramen, Taiwan Fried Chicken and Beef/shrimp Donburi. The flavour was outstanding - you can tell the chef/owner put a lot of effort into every dish. I will certainly be telling all my friends and families about this place and we will certainly be back. Owner’s wife who served us was extremely friendly as well. Well done!

The ramen soup was PERFECTION in a bowl! The spices were ON POINT just spicy enough so as to not detract from the flavours of the broth and noodles. It's obvious that the noodles are made in-house and, WOW, does it make a difference! Yes, the menu may be on the smaller side but I prefer a smaller menu with dishes made well than an extensive menu with mediocre dishes. And I can't wait to go back and try them all!

Never heard of this place until I drove by the plaza. They have a small menu. We ordered the first three items in the list. The Taiwan fried chicken, as everyone had stated before me, is amazing. The two noodle soups were also excellent. I do wish they were more spicy and had more meat, especially the pork.

Great local restaurant with a passionate chef who whole heartedly wants to make delicious food with a fusion flare !!! We were lucky enough to try an new menu item the lamb shank ! It was delicious with an Italian twist!!! Would love to see more items added in the menu in the future

Fantastic cuisine with a professional chef that adds a personal touch. Had the lamb shank that was cooked to perfection that fell off the bone. I will come again, I highly recommend this establishment!Food: 5/5

Wow, what a fantastic meal!!! * Beyond the Ramen * Chef Jing Meng at 39 BBQ Aurora caught our attention with his post in Aurora Restaurant and Food News Facebook group about his 3 course meal - set menu. "Wait, what is this awesome-ness he's doing" were my words. Chef Jing and 39 BBQ is far beyond a great ramen bowl, and our meal tonight proves that. We opted in to his beef dish. First course, the beef shortrib French onion soup. This is not traditional by any means, however you can definitely taste the classic nuances with Chef Jing's flare. As we kept eating the soup flavours started to develop even more. You really need to experience this soup. The picanha steak . The picanha is a very common Brazilian meat sirloin cap and if not cooked properly it can be extremely tough. Chef Jing nailed it, super tender and flavourful and you can definitely taste the bbq. His grill is very well seasoned, heck I could smell it when he was cooking it. You're definitely in good hands when your meat is on Chef's Jing's grill. And the veg, perfectly cooked yet had something special. Jing later told us it's a sauce he makes with a little garlic, ginger and teriyaki. All big flavours yet well controlled to not over power the flavour of the veg. That's some skill! The crème brulée: This is a classic I learned when taking my apprenticeship way way back. Chef Jing's crème brulée brought back some memories. The custard was fresh and very light on the sugar. The caramelized sugar on top was just enough to balance it all out.. In the end is was $100+ with wine well spent. Chef Jing is certainly talented, as he should be, he's French and Italian trained. Chef Jing is very unassuming and a super talented and wonderful man. When you make a reservation, pick off of his specialty menu, it's awesome!!! Chef, we would like to thank you for a great meal experience.

This is one of those places that is so good that you almost don't want others to know about it, just so you can selfishly have the hidden gem all to yourself. Despite that urge, I will happily tell you that 39 BBQ though I suspect the name might change in the future is genuinely one of the best restaurants I've been to in Aurora. The menu is rather small, but with good reason, as the chef does not want to put anything on the menu he is not proud of. We tried 6 different dishes including dessert and every one tasted great. Add on to that, the prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous. Very happy with my first experience here and I will be coming back often.
