Woodroffe Pediatric Dentistry

We did not have a very good experience with dr martin. ( female) we went in for the consultation and they had us back 2 days later for the appointment . At the consultation she explained we needed to book 4 appointments all together to complete all the FILLINGS my child needed. We decided the bottom left is where we would start. At the appointment she was under the impression we were working on the top left and pulling the bottom left ??? (extraction what no one mentioned that? and my child was not even put out ? he had only been given the gas and a few needles in the gums,?) When she first gave him a few needles he was OK. then she used a hook and pulled stuff out from the center of my childs worst tooth, he screamed ! which wouls be understandable seeing as she didnt even leave some between the needles and begining to work . I said to dr martin that she must have hit a nerve because the hole in that particualar tooth is bad . she disregards what im saying and tells my child he shouldnt be lieing about the pain then proceeds to shove the hook between my childs gums and tooth while saying " im hitting bone im hitting bone i dont see why hes crying" ( he wasnt reacting to her doing that so she was referring to the the initial scream when she first started . ) Now her and her assitant are chit chatting and my son is choking on his own saliva , i say hes choking and neither of them cared Dr martin said if hes breathing hes not choking the assistant did not try to suction at any point , i then stepped in and flipped my child over because i truly believe he was choking. the whole experience there was horrible and I wouldnt recommend Dr Martin to anyone , Once I decided we were not going to proceed with the appoinment she asked me if i were closer to kanata or orleans , coming from pembroke which is west of ottawa Kanata is closer. I wait and wait in the waiting room. finally she gives me the paper for the referral and I see there are 5 locations accross ottawa so i ask of its OK if I contact the Carling Location (as I have family I usually visit when I am here and they live on carling ) She so rudely says well you said Kanata and my response was well you only gave me two options ?? She is just rude and has poor bedside manor , the dentist i was referred to has one main number and once you call they ask you what location you want so why she even asked is beyond me ! Oh and my child is ONLY FIVE and will probly never want to go to the dentist again :(

Last year my daughter had root canal by doctor Martin. After just one month it caused gum infection and finally we have to pull the tooth. It was horrible.

DR Martin very ignorant!! Instead of fixing the problem she would rather pull my son's teeth. Saw her 2 times and both times she brushed us off, did not attempt to fix the problem instead referring me to CHEO and the wait is 182 days and 2nd time offered to start pulling teeth instead of fixing the cavaties. Just ignorant and lazy! I dont advise anyone to go see her!!

Brought my 16 month old for her first dentist visit. They were extremely friendly and did a fantastic job with her. They are fantastic with children, even babies/toddlers.

I take my 4 kids to this clinic. very friendly staff and all my kids love Dr Martin. Highly recommend this clinic for kids
