A nice big park with three grass fields and F bathroom facilities. Big maple trees provide shade, and there are lots of quiet corners to hang out and cloud gaze. A newer, but smaller, play area for kids is accessible at the east end of the middle field. Lots of ultimate frisbee played here. Enjoy Winona park!
New small playground with slides, swing, small trampoline. Good for toddler and young kids. There is ample street parking, washroom, 2 small picnic tables near the playground, benches, big fields. I just wish that the playground is bigger since it is busy and many residents in the area. The land is big so it will be better to expand the playground so the kids are not crowded.
Beautiful park with three perfectly level sports fields. Bathroom, Playground, benches, tables, lots of trees and different corners with places to sit and enjoy the vibe. Really well-designed greenspace. Great for frisbee. Loved it.
Spacious park with outer perimeter that you can walk. Total of 1km. Nice playground and very clean bathroom that’s cleaned daily and opens at 7AM. Ample street parking. You can see hoards of geese in the early AM on the soccer park.
Great park to relax during a sunny day and enjoy the shade of a nice tree. I take my dogs there and locals are usually very friendly.
This is an amazing little community park. You can occasionally find flocks of snow geese during winter times and Canada geese during spring to autumn.
Nice park to spent time with kids. We had fun sledding when it snowed this weekend. The kids play area is small when compared to the size of the park. The restrooms are clean and well maintained. Some area in the park can get muddy after rain. I play throwing balls with my son during sunny days. There is good street parking available in the Columbia St. There are some constructions going on around the area and can be disturbing sometimes. Overall a good park to spent an hour or two.
Lots of open space, spots with places to sit, shady areas. There is a playground and a washroom. Depending on what time of day you go there can also be plenty of doggies running and playing in the field.
I love this park! It is a whole block of green space. It's a 3 tiered park so there is much space for people to do different activities at the same time like playing frisbee or soccer, having a picnic, dog-walking, without feeling crowded. Each tier is lined with trees and there are benches by the shady areas for those who want to just sit and relax. There's nothing grand about Winona Park but I consider this as one of my "happy places" because I enjoy the peace and fresh air I don't get from the most popular and crowded parks.
Great park. Lots of space. A bit of a nuisance with all the construction around the park. Easy parking. Fields are generally great for ultimate frisbee though the upper north field can get pretty bumpy through the spring summer wear and tear. Kids play area is small , however there are plans now for redevelopment.
