Nestled at the north end of Oak Park at 59th Avenue and Oak Street with views south to the Fraser River, Marpole-Oakridge Community Centre was founded in 1949 and now serves two neighbourhoods of diverse populations and ages. English and Chinese are the predominant languages here with a wide assortment of programs and services available through the centre. These on-going programs, special events and workshops for all, feature badminton, yoga, pilates, music, dance, school noon hour programs, youth room, curriculum and aerobics classes.
The Centre is also a meeting place for SUCCESS women's groups, Vancouver Community College ESL classes and the city's Neighbourhood Emergency Preparedness Program. The centre's fitness centre has a weight room, cardio room, racquetball court, whirlpool and sauna. Basketball and hockey sports courts are located just outside the building. Recently this facility has received numerous refurbishments and additions such as new floors and painting, additional office space, public art installations, a walking path around the park, and a new kitchen.

TO assist, develop and to foster community spirit throughout the community;
TO promote the educational, social, cultural and athletic endeavours of the community;
TO assist any organization, group, company or individual whose sole aim is to promote the educational, social, cultural or athletic well-being of the people of the community;
TO accept donations, or do such things as may be necessary to raise funds to carry out the objectives;
TO carry on the operations of the Association principally in the Marpole Oakridge community
