Braemar Park is an inviting place to sit with a friend or enjoy a stroll. This peaceful and quiet park offers an open playing field lined with a few of the largest and most impressive maple trees in the area. The site was purchased from the Canadian Pacific Railway in the 1920s by the Municipality of Point Grey. The name was taken from the former Braemer School for Girls which was located nearby. Braemar is a district of Scotland famous for its deer forest and castles.
Love the big trees in this park. Lots of open space to do whatever you want under the sun. Love the surrounding neighborhood. One of the oasis in the city.
This is a quite nice park for a gentle stroll, a quiet picnic or to sit on one of the benches in the shade and read a book or relax and enjoy this quiet park space…It is quite close to GF Strong and Children’s Hospital, so one may use it while waiting for an appointment…there is a toilet facility on the west end of the park..
A beautiful and quiet park to relax at either in the sun or under the huge mature trees.
Nice park with open green areas surrounded by tall mature trees. However, there's sign of homeless dwellings moving into the park.
A good stop over if you're walking around the area. It's just a huge green field and a few benches. Great for exercising, picnic, playing with kids and running or playing with your dog. Some shaded areas as well.
Beautiful park love the shade of the tall trees short grass should have brought a soccer ball or football. We joked about it only having one goal post so the visiting team cannot score. I've always been surprised how few people are here but enjoy having it to ourselves. Washrooms available seems well kept. Forestry atmosphere, reminds me of the poplar windbreaks at the edge of farmers feilds.
Braemar is another small park within our communities that offers a clean safe place to enjoy outdoor life.... Walk the dog, throw the Frisbee or just read a book. I GOT TO see a group of fifty sitting around in small group cell groups enjoying fun food and fellowship together. SOO GOOD!!!
Braemar Park was fun. In my relearning phase of skating, I decided to hit this park. It was happy to roll around today and hit some new tricks that had been gone for some time. The flow of the park was great! That is really cool concept. There have been some problems with vandalism to the baskets in the past, but now all 14 holes have good baskets! Thanks to the local club for keeping this course going. Braemar Park is pretty small, with a few small boxes, a funbox one kinked small quarter with a regular coping and a tiny one with pool coping. Great for old schools and kids.
Nice green grass for your enjoyment. Small area to pitch baseball, restrooms on site. There is no playground here, so bring a ball or a freebie.
