Windlass Restaurant

I went here with my family... It has a very small town, family friendly atmosphere with mostly locals dining there. The hot lobster open faced sandwich was delicious with LOTS of lobster, and fisherman's platter was tasty and a good size. The fish chowder was creamy and thin, didn't have a ton of flavor but you could tell the fish was fresh and the hot roll that came with it was great. I would definitely recommend stopping by!

I visit this place a couple years ago for a family get together. The food is so amazingly delicious ,The service is the best . I can say there's no better restaurant in Yarmouth than the windlass. I will recommend this place to everyone. Great job Windlass!!

Great little spot off the beaten path. Friendly service and good home cooked local dishes. Rappie pie was nice and crisp, seafood was fresh. Good place to eat by yourself, as a couple, or bigger group. Not sure what the house wine was but came in a large container and was dang drinkable. Please note for a placed called windless it was slightly windy.

I was on vacation in 2019 and stopped here to eat. I had the best creamed lobster. The rest of my family had fish and chips, which was equally amazing. The food was so fresh. I will definitely go back the next time invisit Yarmouth. Highly recommend.

Awesome fresh seafood and friendly service. The view is also nice. Fern our waitress was very friendly. I had Haddock and fries, my wife had lobster roll. We had many meals from all different restaurants so far in Nova Scotia, but so far Windlass was the best. And the servings are huuuuuuge refer to photo.
