Story

Rodd Grand Yarmouth Hotel is conveniently located on Main Street, in the downtown core of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.

This full-service, 3 1/2 star hotel boasts 132 large guestrooms, each with the modern amenities you would expect to find. Our six family suites include two rooms with two queens in one room and a pull out sofa in the other, as well as two bathrooms, two mini-fridges and two tvs.

Many of our guestrooms have beautiful views of the Yarmouth Waterfront, an excellent sample of Nova Scotia’s breathtaking scenery. For our guests’ added pleasure, they will also enjoy our fully-equipped fitness centre with nautilus equipment, indoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna.

Gales Eatery is located just off the main lobby of the hotel.

Great staff! Very friendly and accommodating. Location was close to the venue we were in town for. Roooms were basic but clean and had what we needed. Only issue was the lack of parking. It was spread over 3 lots and still had trouble finding a spot that was across the street and down the hill which was less than ideal in the bad weather. Other issue was being able to find anything to eat later in the evening as we arrived back from our event later. Room service shoukd be available later for guests as nothing local was open either. It was closed in the afternoon when we arrived and closed when we returned so must have been a small window.
All has been said in previous review. Nice, comfortable room and beds. One think that requires staff attention. Ever slept above the noise exhaust of a kitchen fan? There is no fun in that. Give it a try one day yourself Management. And we were relocated to 5th floor 512 at arrival.
5 stars to this hotel.it had been a while since I had stayed in the hotel. They were doing construction outside the hotel and they had signs up apologizing for any noise, but the upgrades they are doing and done to the hotel are great! The rooms were spacious, and clean. The service at the restaurant and hotel bar were great! And I made sure to utilize the amenities like the pool and gym. As well as friendly staff as well. GREAT place to stay! As its also very central as well.
Our room was fine and enjoyed the pool, unfortunately the service in the restaurant was very slow, the waitress was very friendly but the wait for our food was long and we chose this hotel for the early breakfast 6:30 am before we left for the ferry. At 7am we were told the wait staff was on their way but we could not wait . Need more cooks and wait staff .
We needed a room last minute and the staff were really wonderful about helping us get a room. There is even a restaurant inside the hotel. Again, running at the last minute for food and the server and cook were very accommodating. 2:30 in the afternoon and we were able to order breakfast. Food was very tasty, just wish restaurants most would stop with seasoning the home fries. Not all of us like that.nThe room was perfect for our needs. Clean, smelled fresh, looked tidy. Little bar fridge, king-size bed, coffee maker, TV with cable. The usual amenities in the bathroom.nI quickly crashed after eating - the food was delicious. If we hadn't been coming home, there was a nice indoor pool with sauna I wouldn't have minded trying out.nBoth check-in and check out were smooth and quick.
