Got the 50 pieces Maki Party Tray and it was absolutely delicious! I requested no sesame seeds and they carefully accommodated my order. Rolls could have been rolled a bit tighter because they fell apart easily, but the taste was amazing and I loved the variety in the tray. I also got the Takoyaki and enjoyed that too. We got a free roll with our purchase. Not sure what it was, but I think it was deep-fried, lol. Really appreciated the nice gesture. Staff were very friendly and courteous. Mostly a takeout place, but they have a few tables inside if you want to eat there. Excellent addition to Kanata :
I love this place I come every lunch and am blessed to be able to munch crunch and brunch here. The staff are the best people you’ll ever meet and are so amazing. God danm I live the fresh yummy sushi!!Food: 5/5
Fresh sushi made on site! Newly soft opened neighbourhood sushi shop did not disappoint! Although the store is not completely ready yet, but all ingredients appear to be super fresh, price slightly on the higher end compared with Hockey Sushi for example but still very reasonable. I ordered the sashimi combo and a tempura sushi roll to go, they were prepared fairly quickly and tasted great! Although I do wish the sashimi combo didn’t include imitation crabs but something like surf clams or shrimps instead. My daughter really liked their tempura shrimp roll, demonstrated by the half eaten photo below. Staff was super friendly, eager to help! Recommend!
Always a really enjoyable experience! Food is fresh and absolutely scrumptious, no doubt some of the best sushi I've ever had. I'm always greeted by such a nice lady right away and the guy making the sushi assembles it with expertise and speed!Food: 5/5
I got the 50pcs Maki roll tray. The flavour of each roll is pretty good. I like the fried onions on top of the rolls. However, I'm not a huge fan of the rice. The rice was too dry and the grains fell off. Also the rolls werent sealed well, as each roll fell apart when picking it up. My favourite was actually the free dragon eye roll.Food: 4/5
A new sushi place in Kanata! We got some take outs yesterday and have mixed reviews.. first the shrimp tempura were definitely disappointing, small and those frozen kind you get.. the sushi rolls we got mixed of regular rolls and speciality rolls, they were definitely all super fresh but we felt it lacked some flavour! The sashimi was super fresh as well.. it’s just the flavour we thought it could be improved : very friendly service we ordered online and it was very efficient !
Absolutely recommended new sushi takeout restaurant in the neighborhood, very delicious mango crispy roll with homemade mango sauce! I also ordered the fried chicken katsu donburi. Trust me, this is the best curry sauce I've ever had, a must try dish! Will definitely come back!Food: 5/5
Based on good reviews, I decided to try this place as I haven't been happy with the service at Sushi Eki. They were definitely correct! Everything was delicious down to the free dragon eye roll that I didn't think I would be a fan of. Very good! Service was great and friendly too. This is the best sushi place I’ve ever been to my life. Sushi has made extravaganza chick, amazing, delicious, delectable, and the best prices. I can’t even lie it’s affordable and I’m just a broke student i go there every single day for lunch me and my friends absolutely love it and I’m looking forward to another year of supporting the cause.
The second time ordered maki rolls and was extremely disappointed by the quality, the rice was so wet and glutinous, it didn't taste fresh, and it's been pressed so hard into the seaweed, the rolls tasted worse than the one from the supermarket. Ordered takeout for the first time yesterday, the maki rolls were all fresh and tasty, really enjoyed it. I like the variety of their combo platters, you are able to find a platter that doesn't come with those cheap fill-in that you don't really want. Will come back for more.
