We ordered from this spot twice; the first time we tried their Korean food and the second time we got their sushi. Both times were delicious! A little on the higher end but the food is made with love and care, and both times we went, there was only one person working both the front and back and she was so sweet! Food came out in a timely manner and no corners were cut with the quality. We’ll be back and definitely recommend!
Delicious food, quick service. The lady working the last few hours of the day was alone in taking and preparing all orders, including cooking - very impressed, especially because we had ordered five items cooked and served in 10 minutes. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian sushi roll, tofu gyoza, rice cake Kid-friendliness: Sushi, Korean fried chicken, beef and vegetables Parking: Plaza parking Wheelchair accessibility: First level, no step
I have been wanting to try this Korean restaurant forever, however I am very disappointed by the portions that were given in my pork bone soup 15.99.... The ratio of soup to pork was not even and I couldn't believe it. I would rather make it homemade next time sorry. Also what kind of Korean restaurant doesn't have side dishes included ....
I had a terrible experience with my recent takeout order from Hanahana. Not only did I find a hair in my fried egg, but the dish also looked like it was made from leftovers that were sitting in the fridge for a week. There were hardly any veggies and only tiny beef crumbs in it. This was completely unacceptable, and I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. I hope the restaurant takes immediate action to improve their hygiene and food quality standards.
Review from Uber eats order. The gyoza was tasty and overall visually looked great. I also ordered a bibimbap and found it to be pretty disappointing. Just one small piece of meat hidden under the egg. Should just take the meat out of the item all together if this is what is provided.
Honestly the food itself was quite good. I ordered assorted sushi, miso soup, and spicy squid with rice. Flavours where good but nothing overly spectacular. The price point…well that’s the big weakness. I was just over $50 with tip for the food pictured. It’s good but not great…and I personally don’t find the portion sizes or quality in line with the price.
Pretty good sushi but it’s not amazing. Ordered takeout in May 2021 and got the large platter of sushi for $77. Eel, salmon sushi were very good. Price was somewhat high but it’s sushi. Makis were good too. Gamjatang was similar to other Chinatown restaurants, but with no rice and barely any potato I think 1 one small potato cut up. For I think $17 that may be high.
Second time ordering from here. The pork bone stew taste old like it's expiring soon. It also taste like they just added water after. The Kimchi soup has 4 small pieces of meat. Tokpoki for $13 doesn't make sense. It's just some veggies and tokpoki, no meat. The Korean fried chicken is the only thing that was okay and not anywhere near the level for a Korean version of fried chicken. Spending $89 for this is kinda annoying. Especially since Uber eat rate it at 4.7 and here it's apparently has a 4 rating. I'm eating it since I'm hungry. If you are someone who regularly eat real Korean food, then this may not be the place for you. I'm writing this to avoid someone else like myself having to waste good money.
So I will premise that my star rating is based on their sushi alone. I didn't eat anything else and wouldnt want to mark against their korean dishes. My usual place closed and this was one of the closest spots to order from and looking at their reviews it seemed like a good place. We ordered online through skip the dishes for takeout and the experience has left me feeling dissapointed and i am unlikely going to order from them in the future. I'll explain my top three issues below. 1. Pricing- Overall I feel the price was a little high but not overwhelming. This pretty meal was $85 after tax. I was a little disappointed on the serving sizes to cost ratio but it did feed the family of four. 2. Presentation - I was greatly surprised at the poor filling, wrapping, and cutting of the sushi. While I wont give it a failing grade as I suspect some natural shifting occurred in the vehicle. Clearly some of our orders were done with little attention to presentation and were unevenly filled out. Some were already falling apart before we even started eating. 3 The Taste - Okay, my pallet may be picky because I spent most of my life in Vancouver but the tuna was definately not fresh. I also found that they overstuffed the rolls with avocado to reduce the cuts of fish/imitation crab.
I had an ok experience, probably lot of build up in my head. Food was ok, reasonably priced. Went when there was only one server and the cook.Food: 3/5
