Great food with a mixed selection of Polish dishes and Canadian. The soup was the star of my meal followed by a platter of cabbage rolls and pierogi. The latter were filled with mashed potatoes and there were mashed potatoes as the side, so that was unexpected, but the cabbage rolls were amazing and topped with a really nice deep red tomato sauce.
My friends all went for rainbow trout which was a huge portion topped with chopped almonds which they all enjoyed.
Service was a little slow because of the popularity of the band and only 2 servers, but they're friendly and welcoming. Will be back when the band isn't scheduled to see what the service is like.
And Tuesday nights a live band performs the blues mostly and they were surprisingly good but our table was right in front of them so I found the amps were pretty loud. Loved the music but not the volume.
If it wasn't so far from the hotel, would go there every night but 45-60 minutes one way on the highway in the country is not a good thing at my age.

Good food but service wasn't the greatest. It sure was busy but it is nice to get an answer instead of an attitude when asking about a menu item...
Location is great when snowmobiling as it is right on the trail.

Lots of nostalgia here.
Today's Lunch Special was over priced in my opinion. It consisted of 2small sauerkraut and sausage perogies with a small salad of leaf lettuce, chopped cucumber and limp tomato for $12.99 plus tip and tax. I did not feel that it was worth the cost.
This place is famous for its well made and tasty plate size perogies. They are expensive but worthwhile on the odd trip through Wilno.

Wilno Tavern is one of my favourite local restaurants! The service is always efficient and friendly even when the place is packed. The food, its consistently delicious. The portions are large and the prices are fair. The best time to go is on a Tuesday night that is blues night and there is a live band!

Great spot. Came here after a solid winter camping weekend and all the food really hit the spot! The coconut cream pie was borderline spiritual.
