Sands on Golden Lake

Hubby took me up here for a sledding week with friends during the week of Feb 12/18 with friends. Rooms were lovely. Restaurant meals were great. I had the Ribs on the night everyone in my party was having the half price wings. I would say I made a good choice. Only suggestion to the chef, or whoever plated the ribs, DON'T put them on top of the fries, they should have put the fries around or on one side of the ribs. Then the only other complaint was our bed in Rm 15 (actually both beds) were way too soft. Otherwise great place.

The Sands was an amazing place for my best friend and his fiance to have their surprise wedding shower. They had everythinf set up and played along great. The breakfast the next morning was absolutely awesome as well. I can't wait to stay here for the wedding in September!!!

Phenomenal food and service. Rooms are very comfortable as are the beds. Would recommend to anyone any time of year

This is probably the best value for your money. The view is just amazing, the staff is very accommodating, and overall it was an awesome experience. They also have canoes or kayaks that you can rent out for the day for a fair price. The restaurant is also very good, but it may be a bit more pricey compared to other local restaurants but the food is really fantastic.

Okay so my cousin and I went there on a work trip and we have some good things to say and some bad things. Beautiful view of the lake, friendly and very nice workers, the rooms are so clean loved it. Sadly the free wifi did not work in our room even after we switched rooms, the restaurant was closed the whole time we were there (would have loved to try their food), the front desk closed early which we did not like, our phone wouldn't work in the room. With no one else being there on the night we arrived, we thought we'd be in a great room but they stuck us in the farthest one in the back. Overall it was okay, good place just to sleep at night.
