Westwinds Family Restaurant

Service at West Winds is always fantastic I have never had a bad server. However the food is inconsistent at best. Last time I was there I ordered a bowl of chili and that's exactly what I got. A plain white bowl, no garnish, no bread just chili and it was possibly from a can. And other times I've had fantastic meals here. The reason they're forced are not a 5-star is because they serve fantastic craft beer some local Micro breweries like Square Timber and Whitewater.

The steak was very good surprisingly! Garlic mashed potatoes were very good as well. Veggies a little over cooked but acceptable. Staff was nice.

Orders came out fast enough, although was not busy. Potatoes were switched on two plates, so sent back. I'm sure garlic was powder in garlic smashed potatoes, broccoli so hard, you might as well ate it raw.For $25, they could serve you a chicken breast that didn't look like it came from a Cornish hen. My tomato on my club sandwich was hardly even ripe, but my husband's tomato soup was red(canned)? At least the waitress was pleasant... would have to think about returning here

All items were saturated with a unidentifiable brown salt spice. The chicken fingers were great. The cook needs to use fresh garlic and not the minced garlic and oil. Love the hotel but some of the food. Time to add more homemade items to the menu.

Ordered the Prime Rib Poutine and Nacho Salad. They were both very good. The Poutine was so hot that the cheese melted when the dish came out. The Nacho Salad perfectly blended the meat and the vegetables, which became an addictive snack when eaten with the Nacho "bowl". Would come here again.
