We have been staying here for over a decade and this is the ONLY place is stay on Long beach. There is lots of room even on big weekends for big groups, to rvs to tents the tent spaces are big and are kind of divided off with nice shrubbery and trees so you have some privacy the grounds are huge several acres of wooded park like areas. And bog open areas for big group events. The famiky that runs it are great people that go out of there way to make your stay great. There are nice cheap showers and clean bathrooms. Its at the South end of the peninsula so you can be on the beach or down town in 5 minutes. It the best on the coast I've seen.

This campground was very crowded, I believe they even overbooked for the holiday because there were tents all over the common areas. Our campsite was not cleaned up before we checked in as we found a glass pipe left behind by previous campers. The site was also covered in gopher holes, and new mounds emerged every night. This made it difficult to move around the site. The table and benches were in really bad shape. The worst part, however, was the bathrooms. There was a portable toilet close to our site, which was convenient at first but after a couple days of not being cleaned out, the waste in it was almost as high as the toilet seat. The toilet paper also ran out before then and wasn't replaced for over a day. The actual bathrooms were awful too. The stall doors were very high and there were no locks on them! They also ran out of toilet paper. The bathroom sinks had 2 faucets, one each for hot and cold water, that had to be held on to keep the water running, meaning you can't scrub your hands together under running water, you can only wash one hand at a time. This was pretty gross. The most annoying thing about the bathrooms was that they charge $.75 to take a shower and that $.75 gets you 5 minutes of low water pressure shower from the time you insert the coins on the OUTSIDE of the shower stall. This means that unless you want to walk around naked in the bathroom, you really only have 5 minutes MINUS however long it takes you to get back in the stall, undress and get the water temperature right, to actually take a shower. And if you like really hot showers, it's not going to happen here. There are 2 showers for women in the whole campground, which has over 50 regular sites and at least 6 group sites. They also charge $5 extra per night for every adult past the first 2. A lot of extra charges after already paying for the campsite. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because the people were nice enough and the firewood they sell there was a good price.

If you're looking to have an actual camping experience this is your go to place! Clean bathrooms, fish cleaning stations, wi-fi available, semi-private tent sites, family AND pet friendly, reasonable rates and good folk who run it. Fire wood provided for a nominal cost. I've been coming here to camp for 20+ years and have never had a bad vacation. Looking forward to another 20+ years of coming for my shot of the beach.

Close to the beach but far enough away from traffic. Host are great. Camps are cleaning. Have group camping as well.

I love this place. We stay here every year for kite festival. It's close to everything, firewood is priced very reasonably, quiet hours are actually quiet and the staff is the absolute kindest.
