White River Falls State Park

Beautiful small little side trip. There are falls that cascade over the rocks in three different sections (August). They may possibly cover the entire rock in other seasons which would be stunning as well. There are interesting remnants of Oregon's first hydroelectric plant. There is a paved path that leads to the base of the falls. There is a bathroom and a host on site. I saw one picnic table which would be a nice place to stop for lunch.

A magnificently beautiful serene area with history. From the signs posted, lifejackets are required to play in the river, no kayaks or climbing on the rock walls. Bring a good pair of hiking boots to explore the area without trespassing on private property across the river and falls.

AMAZING place!!! So beautiful! The drive there as well as the falls. Definitely not for the faint of heart though, the hike down is steep and strenuous, same on the way back. But the view and the falls are worth every step of the way!

White River falls is a small park with a old power plant, there are plenty of motifs along the river, and a small park where you can eat your own food. (no service)There is also the possibility of swimming downstream of the power plant.
