First time ever to whistle Bare which was just a short drive from home. It was great having the taste of what a seasonal would be like for a week. Great spacious clean sites. Fantastic fishing... absolutely a hidden gem! Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Thanks, whistle Bare!!!!! definitely returning for another great adventure!
Great place to go camping within the Region of Waterloo if you want to be able to camp in nature. This is the only campground in the area which doesn't have Hydro Power Lines close to campers! That makes this truly a unique little escape to nature, close by home. For that reason, I highly recommend Whistle Bare Campground.
We have a large site. Mature trees so lots of shade. Not a lot of amenities yet. Older Campground so the buildings are looking a bit tired. Lots of effort goes into making things nice. People here are generally quite nice and have yet to have a loud party. Owners are very helpful and they do have rules. Only negative really is the proximity of the 401. It is like background noise. Very happy here. Our family loves it here
We enjoyed of vists to Whistle Bare Campgrounds. Our camp site was large. We were loved splashing around in the pond and the use of our little rubber boat for the first time. Laura was very help and friendly. My daughter caught her first fish in catch and release pond great memories. This was a great experince that we hope to do again.
Great spot. Only two tent camping spots as this is really more of an RV park, but everyone was super friendly and my kids had a blast. Great place to go for swimming, fishing, and just some peace and quiet. My only knock on the place is that is almost twice the price when compared to provincial camp grounds, but still a great place. My kids loved it there.
we tent camped for just a weekend but wish we had planned to stay longer! the sites were great in size, we even got our own bathroom with a shower which was super convenient not to mention the bathroom and shower were spotless and very well maintained! we had a minor mix up with our hydro but Laura was very quick to fix things up and get things organized, she was super nice and helpful! overall, it was a great stay at a beautiful campground and would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway or somewhere to bring the kids!
Well kept park. Friendly staff. Unfortunately, we were unable to get a seasonal lot as space was unavailable. Great place though.
Great staff, laid back. Swimming is modest pond. Just close to 401 Freeway. Can you tune out the noise?
Very spacious sites, huge beautiful trees for shade, and the friendliest staff. Loved my stay here!
