Dr. Mark is amazing with our dog. Unlike a lot of vets he doesn't overcharge or exploit how much you adore your furry family member. Sadly we have been recommended unnecessary surgeries for our dogs at other vets in Ottawa which is why I will never bring them anywhere else ever again. For once I'm not terrified of the bill at the end. Also we are never rushed they always have time for my questions and Dr. Mark is prompt and doesn't leave you waiting. We live in the east end and are happy to drive 40 minutes for such great care! Would recommend to anyone. Especially great with our very big rambunctious dogs.

If I could give more stars I would! DR. Mark and his staff are absolutely fantastic. They genuinely care about the pets they treat and their human clients. This is by far the best vet office in eastern Ontario. Their attention to care and professionalism is unsurpassed. All my pets come to Dr. Mark and team. I can not thank you and your team enough on how your repeated helped of my dog Holly. All you have truly saved her life on more than one occasion. Thank you for everything you do!!

Positive experience again: We've been customers here for about four years. Yesterday, on short notice, I needed to take our 17-year-old cat in for an ingrown claw. Again, and every time, the people here are simply helpful and kind. This place is always worth the 30 min drive from our house. I highly recommend.

We’ve dealt with WCAH from the time our dog was 8 weeks, until today when we sadly had to put him down - 10 years. Although we’ve had a healthy dog over the 10 years, only ever needing annual check ups, the last couple months as our dog was ill did we really appreciated the professionalism of the clinic. Dr. Mark was so compassionate, caring and honest guiding us to what was best for our dog, his well being and comfort. Today we had to put our dog down, a few days earlier than we had “scheduled”. Everyone was great, compassionate and sensitive to having to say goodbye to a pet. I one day again look forward to having WCAH as our veterinarian.

I’m a big fan of WCAH. They’ve been wonderful with two of my dogs over a number of years. I appreciate that Dr Cochran and his team are committed to the medicine and care of the animals, and keep fees reasonable. I drive 45 minutes to ensure my dog receives the best care at WCAH.

Fantastic staff. Friendly and professional without the "hard upsell" so many other vets are known for. I highly recommend these folks for the care of your pets.

My boy Sekekama had a sore on his head. Thankfully, West Carleton Animal Hospital was able to see him. The friendly staff and Veterinarian explained to me that he had developed a bacterial infection and prescribed him antibiotics that fixed him up nicely. Thank you for taking good care of my boy! - The first photo was before I realized there was anything wrong. - I booked the Vet appointment a couple days after well before it began looking as bad as it does in the second photo. - The second photo was about one week after the first photo, and thankfully - was also the day I was contacted about the Vet having an opening - and brought him in.  They couldn't say for certain what caused the infection, but he's on day 10 of 14 for his course of antibiotics and is almost all healed up now.  Thank you again! This place is like a 5 star medical center for your pets!  The Vets and staff are great and very patient!  Sky is happy each time she goes for her appointments Sky's vet gives her treats and gives her tips to boot just an all around great place to take your pets for treatment or for emergencies! Our 7 year old 10 lb Morkie Niko whom we love very much was malled and was shaken like a rag doll several times in a 15-20 min span while I chased this larger dog to finally get Niko back and honestly I thought he was dead!! Thanks very much to Dr. Mark Cochran and team at West Carleton Animal Hospital for the awesome care Niko received over the weekend…. and also for waiting on us for 15 min as you were just closing up for the day!! Niko Is doing well after his surgery. Again thanks so much! You guys are the best!!!
