Gourmet essentials for the serious home cook include 25 varieties of salt, more than 50 imported oils & vinegars, fresh vanilla beans, chocolate, cocoa and a fantastic selection of locally produced gourmet foods.

They don't have everything but what they do have is top notch and lots of it is pretty hard to find elsewhere. Crispy pearls are good.

I went there today to book a cooking class for my Dad and I, the brunette lady at the register was very rude and cold. I didn't ask for anything special, just to book a spot in the class, but she acted like it was a pain that she had to help me. The class ended up being full, and she offered nothing to help me and was very annoyed when my fiancé asked if there was another class like it. She looked and said there wasn't really anything, which was fine. Finally after an awkward silence, I noticed there was a schedule of classes on the end of the desk, so I told her I would just look at that. I was quite upset and left. Not sure if I will end up booking a class...
