Customer Relations is nothing more than a call center. When you ask to be connected to the Billing dept. regarding Medicare billing and payment for services, they tell you to go to your Medicare Handbook where I’ve already been without answering my questions. Then they tell you to call Medicare which is an all-day wait to talk to someone. When you tell them it’s in their own best interest to get paid for their services by connecting me to the Billing Dept., they won’t do it. I told them that I can call any one of my other providers offices, talk to the billing dept. to explain my situation, and find out if all the services are covered, to what extent, and what I am responsible for BEFORE I get a bill. I don’t like financially negative surprises in my mailbox. I told them I will NEVER use Waukesha Memorial again. I’ve used them for 30+ years. My kids were born at the hospital. Used to be the best; now the worst.
I had the unfortunate need to go to the ER and then be admitted to the hospital. Like most people I would rather not be there. The entire team at Waukesha Memorial made the visit as good as it possibly could be. Everyone from the medical staff, security, housekeeping, and dietary did an EXCELLENT job. Keep up the good work. Nothing personal, but I hope I don't need to come back again.
Alysa the recovery nurse was wonderful. Woke up from surgery grouchy as hell she took great care of me. Makayla the pre surgery nurse had a great sense of humor and kept the mood comfortable and relaxed as possible. Dr. Johnson the anesthesiologist was friendly and explained the process ahead of time. The whole team came in to meet myself and my significant other. They also kept her in the loop of the progress of my procedure.
I recently was so lucky to have given birth at the birthing center here. The entire staff was super welcoming, kind and they provided me with high quality care. When I arrived to be induced I was so nervous, but each and every person that entered my room during my stay was just completely exceptional and went way out of their way to make sure I felt comfortable and had everything I needed. They answered all of my questions and reassured me during every step to help me feel relaxed. Because of all of these wonderful people, I had the most amazing and beautiful birth experience that I will forever be able to cherish. I sadly was robbed of that with my first, when I previously delivered at St. Cats in Kenosha. Thank you all for showing me what birth is supposed to be like- I feel like I got to experience what you always imagine and what you see in the movies. The kindness and exceptional service honestly restored so much faith that I have lost over the years with healthcare systems. I will always be so thankful for the kindness of those who work at this facility.
My girlfriend was taken there in a ambulance for very high blood pressure. With a very bad headache because of the blood pressure. The made her sit for 3 hrs and only thing they did was take blood. When they finally put her in a room . They gave her a iv with meds from the port they put in when they took blood. My girlfriend said the IV was leaking . I pushed the call button and told them what was happening. Nobody came I went out and talked directly to a nurse and still no one came. By now the IV was empty. Her nurse came and had no idea it was leaking. He said that he would have someone fix it. Still no one came . I went out to the nurses station and then they finally sent someone. It took over 1 hour to get it fixed. They put a new IV but never checked what was leaking. The second one leaked again . They fixed it and then they said they would discharged her. I will never go to Waukesha hospital again. This is the health care they provide their. How many people will die their before they will do anything about this problem. Adding to this mess at the ER. My girlfriend got the bill and their was a $500 + Dr bill and she never saw the doctor. She said that the medical records says the Dr saw her and examined her. But that is a lie I was their the entire time and the Dr never came and examined her. That is fraud by the hospital and the staff. Check your bill very closely.
First time in a long time that i needed to be seen in the emergency room. I was very nervous but the girls that took care of me were very sweet! Brandi did an amazing job putting my IV in and walked me through it as she could tell i was nervous. Mille was my RN and she was such a Rockstar! Very thankful to have been taken care of by such kind hearted souls.
I agree with Rita. The cardiac group is excellent. I had bypass surgery in November and my experience with Dr Stout, Dr Ghanem, and their team has been outstanding. I highly recommend them.
This facility has the most outrageous rates! Twice as much as California. I had a terrible back spasm to the point I couldn’t walk. It was a Saturday and an urgent care turned me away. This facility gave me a shot of opiates, a pt consultation, and sent me on my way. That service costs $3,500. They charge $245/15min for a regular PT appointment. Nobody tells you what things will cost prior to service. It’s criminal.
I have had regular experiences at the ER and ICU for well over 30 years, primarily as a First Responder. The ER is certainly not overworked nor understaffed. The time spent in the ER for patients is totally unacceptable and borders on noncaring. Average waiting time for non-traumatic care is 3-4 hours. Sadly, you must wait, because many "urgent care" facilities will not sign-off on certain medical evaluations, and they refer you to the ER. WMH's lack of expedient care is historical and will never change. It's sad...
Make the trip to St. Luke’s if you can. The ER here is not the greatest. Every person we interacted with, minus one very nice nurse practitioner, seemed to feel my mother was a nuisance. The bed side manner was not existent. St Luke’s ER is the complete other end of the spectrum.
