Water's Edge Bed & Breakfast

I have stayed at Water's Edge a week in the summer for many years. What I love most is that the rooms are their paired down simplicity. (Some B&B's have too much clutter or theme details). Candy's husband was an architect, and they loving thoughtfully restored this nineteenth century home with clean simple lines, that welcome you and your stuff in the door with plenty of space to land.... I read the old review about Candy's attitude... and all I can say is she is a remarkable woman, who has more than her fair she of loss.... I am fairly sure that those guests may have caught her negotiating one of those losses. Over the years I have found her to be warm welcoming and accommodating, providing a smile and freshly baked delights for breakfast. I love antiquing in the area. She keeps a rack of brochures for the area, and usually has a good sense of suggestions to make. At a hard time in my life Water's Edge was my haven year after year. I will always return there as long as WE is open. Have included some photos of quaint Greene, NY, where WE is located.

We had heard from locals that Candy (the owner) was "crabby", but she was out of control and down right mean. She verbally attacked me over the perceived "rudeness" of other guests. We left three days early and spent the night in a horse camper in 30 degree weather, while I was six months pregnant (I'm serious) just to get out of there.and on top of all of that she tried to over charge us.The woman who runs this B&B is in the wrong business.
