Wanas Shawarma

Wanas Shawarma is hands down one of the best shawarma spots I’ve come across, everything about the food is perfect. Their style is authentic and serious, and you can taste that passion in every bite. The Syrian shawarma is the star of the show, juicy, flavorful, and wrapped with just the right balance of garlic sauce, fries and pickles. The attention to detail is remarkable, especially with the tarboosh on top, which adds that final touch of authenticity and flair. It’s honestly shawarma done right, and once you try it, it’s hard to settle for less anywhere else.nnThat said, the only drawback isn’t about the food at all, it’s the parking situation. Since the location is downtown, finding a spot can be hectic and inconvenient, which takes away from the otherwise flawless experience. For a place that serves shawarma of this caliber, I genuinely think they should consider opening another branch in an area with more accessible parking. It would make it so much easier for people to come in and enjoy without the hassle.nnAll in all, Wanas Shawarma is excellent in every way when it comes to food, and I can’t recommend it enough. If they expand to more convenient locations, and hopefully to Durham, it would easily become the go to shawarma destination for even more people.

I got the Syrian shawarma today to go but I wasn’t blown away like I hoped. There wasn’t that many pickles or toppings, it was mainly just the chicken and garlic sauce. That part was good but I definitely missed the fresh veggies. I would not get that again,

Top of the world Shawarma! Impressive gastronomic taste. I got the beef and lamb shawarma wrap with Syrian dressing. When doing the taste of Danforth or any other day that they’re open, it’s absolutely great to try this gem.

Solid shawarma offering Syrian style wraps. Came on a Monday night and it got really busy after us at around 8:30pm. Luckily we got a seat for 4 people.nnI ordered the chicken Shawarma Plate with half fries and rice. I also got the chicken Shawarma wrap to share. Plate was really good and good portions. The wrap was really ncie Syrian style, but I would not be full.nnHighly recommend and would come back.

Amazing chicken shawerma will always come back for it Very clean and non greasy BUT horrible stuffed vine leaves. Very disappointing, bland canned ones with pomegranate molasses on top stuffed with plain rice. Please either do the authentic ones for that price or remove the item because it’s nothing like the authentic syrian ones.
