Had a wonderful dining experience at Cluny Bistro in Toronto’s Distillery District for a work dinner last night around 6:30 PM. The place was packed, but the atmosphere was fantastic! The decor really brought me back to the 1920s with its charming, vintage feel. The service was impeccable – our waiter was not only attentive but also genuinely friendly and engaging, which made the evening even better.nnWe made it just in time for happy hour, and I tried a gin cocktail that was spot-on, perfectly mixed and refreshing. For appetizers, I went with the French onion soup, and I was transported back to Paris. It was delicious and had that authentic, rich flavor that I’d highly recommend to anyone dining here.nnFor my main, I had the steak frites, which was a standout. The meat was flavorful, well-seasoned, and tender, but I have to say, the string fries stole the show for me. They were seasoned to perfection – I couldn’t stop eating them! The prices were reasonable for the quality, and you really feel like you’re getting great value.nnTo top it off, we celebrated a colleague’s recent wedding, and Cluny provided a fruit custard cake that was just the right balance – not overly sweet and really tasty. A perfect way to end the meal!nnOverall, Cluny exceeded my expectations, and I’ll definitely be back. This spot is a gem in Toronto, and I’d highly recommend it!

For the appetizer, I chose the Baby Gem Salad—light, fresh, and beautifully balanced with a tangy buttermilk ranch dressing and pickled pearl onion.nnFor my main course, I had the Roasted Chicken Supreme. The chicken was perfectly cooked, with a crispy exterior and juicy interior, accompanied by delightful fried brussels sprouts and puffed wild rice.nnTo finish off, I indulged in the Dark Chocolate Mousse. This dessert was a masterpiece—decadent, with just the right amount of sweetness, and the orange cream added a refreshing twist.nnOverall, the service was attentive, and every dish was thoughtfully prepared. Such a lovely restaurant for romantic occasions! I came here with my family for my mom’s birthday and had to bring my partner here for his birthday. The food is great and the atmosphere very cozy and Parisian! The bakery is separate but it’s still a must go if you’re looking for a cozy cafe limited seating tho

We had a wonderful time at the restaurant and enjoyed a sumptuous meal. The desserts were outstanding. A bit pricey with beverages however a worthwhile and pleasant experience. We were told that the brunch here is very popular.

Was a great experience. Went for brunch and was pleasantly surprised by how quick and professional the service was. We got our food in less than 10 minutes. Was very happy about that as we were hungry!
